My friend had a son 3 years ago and she has had sever lower back pain since. She had and epidural when he was born and she had it on for about 2 1/2 days. Would that be the problem?

I don't have any children and have never been pregnant but I like to search this board from time to time to see what's going on. I always see that bagmama06 and umbilicordz on here asking questions about storing umbilical cords and inserting them into your uterus. How exactly can this possibly be done? DO they do this at home? I mean wouldn't that hurt and be nasty and disgusting to stick anything up your crotch?? What are they talking about?

If my LMP was on june 9th wouldnt that make my baby born around march 13th or so. That was my first original due date. Now the doctors are telling me he wont be born untill April 1st, and that theyre positive im 28 weeks along right now. Im confused because on those pregnancy due date calculators, I'll type in my due date and it will give me June 25th as my LMP. I dont know what to believe and I would like to know when my baby should be due so as my mother can make it here on time to be with me when my child is born!

This is my first pregnancy. Before I was pregnant I weighed about 125 and I'm 5'6. But i'm real slim (Muscle weight). Before I knew I was pregnant I notice I started putting on a few pounds that didn't shed with my tweaked diet. So....now I'm 12 weeks pregnant and my waist is just thicker and there's a small hump that I think is fat. I can't decide if I'm just gaining fat or baby. And when I'm standing, I can only pinch a little fat but when I'm laying down I feel like a lard tub. Is the pregnant belly supposed to be soft or is it supposed to be firm if you're all baby? Any opinions on this one?

Has anyone experienced having to change labor and delivery doctors and locations. I work in Orange County, and live in Los Angeles County about a 29 mile drive 1 way. The Kaiser OC facilities are very plush and comfortable, but I'm very nervous I may not make it to Anaheim Hills in time to get the Epidural for pain, this is my first, I do not do well with simple cramps, and not sure if she will come fast and i miss the opportunity for relief. Has any of the new moms experienced having to make a change such as this? Was the treatment just as well with the new location?

I am very proud of my 5 month old baby girl, and I love her soooo much, but i don't feel like a mommy yet. I guess its because i haven't heard her say mommy. I just don't think its kicked in. I don't think of myself as the mommy type. I'm only 20, but I'm responsible with my daughter and I think I'm a good mommy. Is this normal or is it because of my age? Has any other mommies (or daddies) felt this way too?

My cycles have been 27-30 days long these last 4 months since coming off the pill. I chart my ovulation on mymonthlycycles.com. I dont use Ov predictor kits (yet) or do BBT. We decided to have sex every other day to make sure we hit my ov day. My chart said my ov day wouldve been on the 6th. We had sex on 2nd,4th,6th and 7th. I had my normal ovulation pains on the 6th and 7th so i thought we were ok. But yesterday and today i have a lot of clear/white cervical mucus. Does this mean that im actually ovulating now...instead of on 6th? or do you get that after you ovulate. Yes its kinda like eggwhite, but not stretchy....I hope i didnt miss my fertile window!

My 12 year old is LD gifted. She has a learning disability but is gifted on top of it. If she does her school work she makes "A's". Her grades are not good becasue she doesn't turn things in and refuses to do assignments she thinks are stupid. That is the background.

My family (Mother, Sister, and myself) is planning a trip to Tokyo in April. I told my daughter that I'd bring her along (Not that I can afford it) if she obtained and maintained a B average. Her Semester grades come out in 2 weeks. She is not going to make her B.

Am I being to Harsh for not letting her go to Japan?
