Has anyone experienced having to change labor and delivery doctors and locations. I work in Orange County, and live in Los Angeles County about a 29 mile drive 1 way. The Kaiser OC facilities are very plush and comfortable, but I'm very nervous I may not make it to Anaheim Hills in time to get the Epidural for pain, this is my first, I do not do well with simple cramps, and not sure if she will come fast and i miss the opportunity for relief. Has any of the new moms experienced having to make a change such as this? Was the treatment just as well with the new location?

I fired a doc in labor, it that counts. :-)

If you are unhappy with your situation, it's never too late to change. After all, this is a service you're paying for.

You might also want to make sure you learn some coping techniques for before you are able to get pain meds or in case something goes wrong and you can't get an epidural/the epidural doesn't work.

labor might last a while. I am sure you will make it on time.. just stay with what you've got now.. you'll be fine..
