I get annoyed sometimes, but my friends don't mind if I tell their kids to straighten up. Especially if they are at my house, it is my house and my rules, same for their house.

Yes of course. I get annoyed by the actions of my own children too and I'm sure my friends do. When they're in my house, I make all the kids mind. When I am at their house, I don't say anything.. usually.
My friends' kids are like nieces and nephews to me and my friends all know that so I don't think they really mind when I correct the kids. The kids themselves know how much I love them too so they don't hate me for it either. They all love to stay with me (with or without their parents) so I guess that says they like me too.
I wouldn't correct a child I didn't like though because I'd be afriad that I would come down to hard on that kid and hurt their feelings.

I was until I had kids of my own!! Now as Mother to four kids--all very different in temperment--I tend to be less annoyed by childish behavior. If they are annoying me on my turf I tell them what I expect of their behavior at my house. This usually works well. If not, I limit my exposure to them by talking to my friends online or on the phone instead of in person. When we do get to gether I try to make it in an adult only context as much as possible.

Most of my friends have really good kids...however, we have one friend whose 2 kids I could absolutely strangle. I hate when they come over because everything turns to a disaster. My house is a wreck, one of the dogs usually snaps at them & I have to put the dogs outside (I wish I could put the kids in the kennel), they constantly tell me how horrible my cooking is (they always eat McDonalds, Burger King, etc.) and always throw temper tantrums before the night is out.
And the thing that irks me most is the parents do nothing.

Occasionally, yes. In trying to be polite, I feel it is not my job to correct their child so I don't say anything. What is the most annoying is when their child becomes out of control and they do nothing. It adds stress to the surrounding environment.

Yeah, all the time. Now, I do have a few friends that don't mind me telling their kids to settle down, or whatever. But I hate it when people's kids act like hethens and then they won't do anything about it, much less let you say anything.

yes, I get sick and tired of being given the excuse "it's just a phase" or it's "because she's 6 months younger than your daughter"
Give me a break. Yer kid is a brat and it's your fault!

Sometimes....as I am sure they are annoyed by mine sometimes too. Its easier to tolerate your own than it is someone elses.
