My pediatrician warned me not to give decongestants because they harden the mucas and push it back towards the ears, causing ear infections. Vapo-rub or the bath stuff they make for babies should help. Have your little one drink lots of fluids (if juice, water it down!). If it's bad, you should take them to a doctor to see if they have asthma or allergies, too.

This is pretty common in newborns...you can use the humidifiers like someone suggested to help keep the mucus loose and moving. Use the aspirator to help suck any of it out...also the saline drops are good for this.
When is the next well check? I would definitely bring it to the doctors attention and in the meantime keep a watch for fever. If a fever develops call the doc asap!

call the doctor to see what he can have but at that age I gave my son the triaminic strips. You just put it on the end of his bottle or paci and it dissolves almost instantly. Just confirm the dosage he should have with the doc or pharmacist.

Vaporizer in the room and keep checking to make sure he doesnt come down with a fever because at this age if he does you need to take him to the Dr.

Call the doctor to see what you can give him. When my baby is congested, I put a rolled up towel under his mattress (so he can breathe easier)..Put in baby saline nose drops and suction his nose out..

to clear his nasal passage use "simply saline just for kids" in an aerosol can. then use an nasal aspirator to suck the snot out. You can substitute w/ warm salt water too, but never use the nasal aspirator w/o using something to break the snot up. you can buy the product at any drug store, rite-aid etc...

it sounds like he may have allergies he is probably too young for allergy tests but always ask your doctor and try using a vaporizer and a nasal spray safe for his age.

i will pray for him
