i just found out im only a few weeks pregnant. Ive been getting pains in my pelvis, abdomen, and sometimes it shoots down my leg. Is this normal?

Its so starange because I dont feel pregnant! I dont have a pouch yet or anything and I know that I am but just dont feel it. Im not a big person, im only 5'2 and well now i weight a little more because ive been gaining weight and im 116 pounds now. I would have thought that I would be showing just a little somthing by now. but i know everyone is diffrent. Has anyone else felt like this before??

He is the most dependent on "paci" at naptime and bedtime. I am getting concerned that it is making his teeth crooked and I am getting dirty looks if he takes it out in public! How can I break the habit without making him too upset?

im 18 weeks pregnant and i have allergies really bad. my doctor was no help when i called him. he told me to take tylenol. i don't think he understood me very well. tylenol does not work for allergies. does anyone know of anything that i can take or ask my doctor if i can take ? i know that i can have robotusim while pregnant but thats for colds. has anyone taking or have been told they can take anything for allergies while pregnant? thanks.

Just had the results of my triple test and i have a one in 22 chance of having a downs baby. Next step is an amnio, anyone else had odds like this and then had the amnio and the baby was fine?

A friend of mine has had sex with her boyfriend.....she has also had unprotected sex but they pulled out before he came....last month she had small amount of bleeding between her period on more than one occasion but her period did come one....it was two days late.....could she be pregnant ????

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and all night and morning I have had minor cramping and bad gas at times, the pains even woke me up throughout the night. The pains come and go but not consitent in time. I have had 2 children before but it was a long time ago (14yrs and 9yrs) I do remember cramping in the begining but I dont remember if I had gas as well. I don't want to go the hospital already and them have me sit there for hours just to send me home with GAS. Has anyone ever experienced this in late pregnancy or during labor??

My son is Obsessed with "super hero's" any and all. From "Superman" to "Ben 10". It is all he talks about all day and will ask me questions like "guess who i am " , which changes every 2 min. Then he will jump around constantly pretending he is one or other of these "heroes" . Now i know boys like heroes but why cant he like cars and lego like other boys? He doesn't play with any other toys apart from his Hero figurines, and i dont think this is healthy. How can i stop this?

I was wondering if there were any good ways to help eczema for an infant? We have a 5 month old son that has a severe case of eczema; the doctor gave us some medicine for him but it isn't working. It gets so bad at nights that he doesn't sleep and I always trying to itch himself. Is there anything that we can do to alleviate the itching? Any information will by much appreciated.

when the doctor says "you concieved on 9/22" does this mean that was the day the sperm reached the egg and fused together? If so than I am assuming fertilization took place 1-2 days prior? Sorry, just a little confused.

Just had my first scan of my baby, and it looks amazing. I know they fade easily so does anyone know what to put on it that will prevent it from fading? I was thinking to laminate it but I have heard it still fades. Has anyone tried anyhing on thiers?

I am going crazy! I have 12 days until my due date and I am so ready for him to get out. The past 2 weeks I have been dilated 1 cm, 50% effaced, and I have been losing my mucus plug since last Tuesday. I have also been having alot of the Braxton Hicks. I will be working up until he decides to come out. Does anyone know what I can do to get him out besides sex & walking? Plus with these signs about how long was it until you went into labor? Please help!!!

over here in the UK we get 9 months part paid maternity leave, starting in April (it is currently 6 months) , and a further 3 months unpaid, totalling a year off should we want it.... im curious to know what other parts of the world offer their new mums??

i was reading this thing on babycentre.com about a 4weeks development and it said never rock your baby asleep that they need to learn on how to fall asleep on their own. the problem is that my mother-in-law rock him all the time and I'm afraid to tell her that i don't want her to because she may get mad and not listen to me.
when my 2 1/2yr old was younger he would fall asleep on his own up until he was 5-6 months old, she rocked him all the time and he would think that he would get it every night, and i had to cuz that would be the only way he would fall asleep. he still has problems falling asleep on his own, he yells everytime i put him for for a nap or for the night. but i let him cry, he 2 1/2yrs old and needs to fall asleep on his own. so i do i tell her that i don't want her rocking my 4 week old, that he needs to learn to fall asleep on his own???help me please. i dont wanna have to do the same thing for this son like i had to with my first.

My 9 week old son has suddenly started snorting since yesterday, both when he is asleep as well as when he is awake. It appears like he has some amount of difficulty in breathing. His voice hasn't changed, so we know it's not sore throat, or something else to do with the throat. Would you know what this could be? Does this sound similar to something you experienced with your kid? What did you do for your kid when this happened to him/her?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and stomach is basically just "thicker". I was wondering if one day I'll just wake up and it'll be bigger all on its own...or does it happen slowly. What was your personal experience and at what point did it occur in your pregnancy?

or.... Rather sneak behind your back.... these teen years are driving me crazy ..... great kid....teen attitude of course but for the most parts tells me alot I know alot of her friends bought thongs and hide them or secretly have my space accounts is it better for me to allow her to do these things instead of sneaking behing my back because we all know at this age most ARE sneaking behind they're parents backs...sometimes I feel like I am too involved and know too much but at the same time I think by being so open and honest it dosent make things as much fun No sneaking around..HELP.....

I have 2 children already but have always wanted 3. My husband and I have been trying for over a year and nothing. My first was a surprise but my second was very easily conceived when my first was 3 months old. I really want to have another one now. My doctor told me to try for a year but I am getting upset that it has not happened yet. I have tried the ovulation kits but had no luck. I can not quit thinking about it and know that that does not help things. Any ideas?

My wife is in her 7th week and she has very bad headaches. No idea what triggers them, probably hormonal, just wondering if anyone had any ideas for some relief, I feel so bad for her. Compresses really don't work and we are not too keen on taking tylenol.
