The key word is acting. Noone should have to act a part to be themselves. Just be who you are. Some people appear older them they are, some ages are equal to what they are currently and others need time to play catch up. You are not odd or different then others, you are just who you are and there is nothing wrong with apprearing younger them what your age might me, as long as you are not doing things that are stupid just to get attention.

Why does 17 sound too old for you? Is it because you will be graduating high school soon? Maturity happens differently for everyone. However, just as long as you taking care of your responsibilities. That's an important aspect for everyone no matter how old you are.

If 17 seems old for you then 29 must be ancient (that's how old I'll be next week) !! Age is all in the mind.

Yes that is so normal. I thought it was just me at first. I am 21 and up to a little while ago I still felt like I hadn't changed from when I was 16!

And I think the only reason I feel differently now is because I have moved out with my bf and we have to fend foe ourselves, theres no one to look after me now so I have sorta had to grow up. Also I am trying for a baby, so I must have changed a little bit from when I was 16! Lol!

First off, 17 is definately not old.

The problem is that people think you have to act a certain way at a certain age. You don't. All you have to do is act like you. Everyone matures (grows up) at their own pace. Take your time. Act how you feel. It's the only way to stay true to yourself and become who you want to be in the future.

Good luck.

I'm 28 and I feel like I'm 17 still. I have three children. I homeschool and my idea of a good time is a good game of LEGO builder or aggrivation. Yeah your normal I'm not. (hhhhhhaaaaaaa) love life ,play real hard , laugh louder, live like it's your last moment with the ones you love(as long as it's within the ethical bounderies of morality of course)

Do you mean that you feel less mature than other 17 year olds? It's ok, people mature at different rates. Just enjoy being young and don't worry about everyone else.
