I want to carry my baby on the back like I've seen women do in Kenya. How do I do this safely?

THis is my second pregnancy and I was really hoping for a home birth this time but my midwife and obstetrician says I shouldn't have one as I had a post partum hemmeorage last birth. I am prepared to go with what they suggest, after all I don't want to bleed to death in my livingroom, but what can I do to get the midwives at the hospital to listen to me and do what I want? I want a natural birth with lots of moving around and no drugs but last time I went into hospital I wanted that too and I found myself being injected with pethidine and lying flat on a bed for 7 hours!

My daughter has asked a question and I don't know how to answer her without confusing her. Let me explain....
My husband (her dad) has a nervous tick that sounds sort of like a laugh. His mother says that he has done this ever since he was little. (we know why but I'm not going into that). My problem right now is the little kids at school have heard this and they pick fun. Which doesn't bother my husband or myself, but it has brought it to attention to our daughter. She has never realized that daddy was doing something weird so to speak because she has been around it all her life. She now is asking why daddy does that noise. I am asking if anyone else has had to deal with something like this and how did you handle it????

Just to let you know the kids at school aren't making fun of her they just tease my husband and he doesn't mind. He says that it is just kids.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

I'm 25, and want to date a girl who's 20. She lives with her family, is going to college, and I met her while she worked at the coffee shop in the hospital I work at.

Her father, who happens to be a cop, has a huge issue with the age difference and has outright told her not to talk to me or do anything with me. The worst of it is he's said "He only wants to date you because he can't date anyone his own age," "He's only after 1 thing," and "What possible interest would a 25 year old have in you?" Which does nothing but destroy her selfesteem.

My intentions are totally honorable, she's a wonderful person, I know I'm falling for her, and it is definitely mutual between me and her. I keep hoping that he would meet me and find out who I am and not how old I am, but he refuses to meet me.

How do you handle this situation? Especially when you can't even get the chance to meet him.

My husbands son is 5 and we are going to tell him that he's about to have a new brother and sister. He knows that babies are inside they're mummies bellies, but what do we say when he askes how they got in there? When do decide to have a baby in your belly, how does it happen? Don't want to go into much detail, it might just confuse the hell out of him, or scare him!!!

He lives with his mother and we see him on weekends. How do you explain that his daddy will now be daddy to other children and his mummy will be nothing and I will be the twins mummy?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and pretty big,so we cant hide it from him much longer. Please i need some serious answers, the ex wife is pretty nasty and she's not gonna appriciate us telling her son and making him feel like he wasn't meant to be, or less loved in any way.
HELP!!!!!!!!

My wife and I have been planning on having a baby for some time now, yet we've had numerous tries without success. Recently, we were waiting for her period and it hasn't come. It's been 5 days now. We've done three home pregnancy tests, on different days, different times of day, and they have all come back negative. How reliable are these, what's the deal???

i had my baby a week ago and when i got out of the hospital, i had an abundant supply of breastmilk. for some reason, two days ago, my milk virtually disappeared. i have been breastfeeding and supplementing with a formula because my baby is premature and needs the extra calories but i cant even pump enough breastmilk to give her even an ounce. is there some reason why my milk just seemed to disappear? Is there something that i am not doing or something that i CAN do to make it come back in? thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Ok... I've been looking at symptoms of pregnancy. Here's what I have.

My boobs are tender, I'm tired, I think I'm late, I've been peeing like 3 times in an hour the past week, My body temperature is a little high (not fever high).

If there are other symptoms I'm unaware of post them, and I will edit with the answers of whether or not I'm having those. Thanks.

ok, there are your fertile days, and ovulation days. What's the difference in those. i thought when you were fertile you were ovulating. When should i have sex to ttc?

Also, if they have damp hair when they go to bed, would this cause a runny nose or a cold? My child hates wearing his shoes and socks around the house and sometimes we put him to bed with slightly damp hair......my mother says that's why he keeps a runny nose. I think it's just allergies.

well my last period was Aug 1-3 i have all the signs and fillings of being pregnant and yes i know what it fills like cus i have been pregnant before. Any ways i went to the doc they gave me a urine test and said it was negative so then they thought it was fibroids they checked for that and said it was negative well my belly keeps growing and every one says i look pregnant well today i started my period. 5 Months without a period and now i have one? I just want to know whats going on. i looked on the net and i am not the only person going through this same thing please some one help. oh and i have a follow up app on Jan 12 and i just want to know what the hell is wrong with me!!! my son just got a new bed. He's been sleep in my bed since his been born but it has gotten to the point that I don't get enough rest when his in the bed. I've tried waiting until he was sleep to put huim in his bed,but he wakes up. I've also tried to lay beside him until he falls asleep but it doesn't work. Please give me some more ideas so that I can get him out of my bed asap.

Hey, night before last me and my husband were intimate and couldnt go all the way, because I started getting raw and he didnt go in all the way due from last time he popped vessels in my cervix.. Right away I went to the bathroom to make sure no bleeding.. I only bled brown and was very sore "down there". Last friday i had an ultra sound and everything was normal and healthy. Should I call my midwife on this brown spotting or not? Im not sore anymore and its just very scant brown spotting.Im not really too worried about it, because i still feel my baby move. And its only there when i wipe, or the regular discharge "runs" it out. Thanks for the help!
