Hey, night before last me and my husband were intimate and couldnt go all the way, because I started getting raw and he didnt go in all the way due from last time he popped vessels in my cervix.. Right away I went to the bathroom to make sure no bleeding.. I only bled brown and was very sore "down there". Last friday i had an ultra sound and everything was normal and healthy. Should I call my midwife on this brown spotting or not? Im not sore anymore and its just very scant brown spotting.Im not really too worried about it, because i still feel my baby move. And its only there when i wipe, or the regular discharge "runs" it out. Thanks for the help!

If your baby is moving normally and your not cramping then dont worry. Brown blood is old blood and that just means your cervix got irriated.
Congratultions BTW!!!

It's probably fine, especially since it's brown spotting. You said you had problems with blood vessels before, so this is probably something like before. Might not hurt to give the midwife a call, though.

I had spotting when I was pregnant and the doctor told me the only time that you really need to worry is if it is bright red or heavy. SO I would say that you are okay, but if you feel uncomfortable about it I would most definately call. I always felt better when somone who knew about it told me that everything was going to be okay.

Brown blood is 'old blood' and is not a good indicator of problems.
The old blood could be from several differnet things. It could be from the last teim you and your husband were fooling around or intimate. It coudl also be from broken blood vessels from your uterus growing and stretching out.

This happened to me as well (only my husband was deloyed atthe time, so I knew it wasnt from being intimate/fooling around....) and the docs told me that it was from my uterus stretching and breaking blood vessels. I was aroudn 16 weeks when that happened to me as well.

Good luck and congrats!

I would call to be sure but spotting after sex is normal and the extra discharge can make it look worse then it is.

Spotting after sex or a vaginal exam is normal.
Brownish colored blood is "old blood" and is certainly better than seeing bright red bleeding.
It's probably normal, but if it would make you feel better then do call your MW. That's why you pay her. :-)

i think you are probably just fine, but it wouldnt hurt to call your midwife and just check with her and see what she thinks. she may tell you not to have intercourse for awhile, you are probably irritating it more by doing it. so asking never hurts, good luck and congrats.
