Pregnancy & Parenting - 21 December 2006

We've tried a bunch of things. Showing him pictures of people who have been seriously injured, told real life stories, and showed him a jail cell. He just shrugs it off. I know teenagers think their invincible but how do we get it through his thick skull that fighting is not cool before he gets hurt?

i live about 45 minutes from the hospital we have chosen to have our baby at
just curious as to when should i go to hospital
i really dont wanna have a baby on the side of the road out in the middle of nowhere, but ive always heard that you wait til contractions are 5 minutes apart

Okay. I have been on birthcontrol for over a year. I've never missed a single dose and i always take them as I'm supposed to. I haven't missed a period, but the other day I felt kind of sick. So I took an ept I had laying around. It was expired, but there, so I used it. It gave me a positive result. I have a slight pain on my left side if I push on it. My period was normal. I took the test 3 days into my new pack of pills. What do you think?

I work at a daycare. we have a handfull of 3 and 4 year old's. We are teaching them their ABC's and how to count to 10, then 20. They can all sing the ABC's fine, but not recognize them on paper. right now we are useing flash cards with the letters written on them to help them learn. My question is do any of you have a better idea to help teach them these things ?? If you do i would love to hear it. thank you for any and all help. :)

Okay so me and my husband have been trying to have a baby for the past 5 months....and my last period was on Nov. 17th....now since then we have been having sex every other day since last night. Now I was suppose to get my period yesterday, the 20th but it never came and still is not here. However, my body is feeling weird....but I am not sure if they are sign of pregnancy or just that I might be getting sick. My symptoms are:

1. Missed period
2. Hot flashes
3. Soar Throat - almost like burning
4. Headache for the past 4 days
5. Little tired

PS. I also took a test on the 18th and it was negative but I dont know if I tested too early?

Please help! I really wanna know if its worth me buying a test.

Hi i've been feeling pregnancy symptoms and i'm suppose to be only 3 weeks pregnant....People tell you that you cant start getting them until like 7 weeks but....I've been having light cramping? Like my period is goin to come but it never does!! I also have really tender breast there sore to the touch? Headaches also!! I've been having on and off back pain not to bad of pain but sorta throbbing!! I've been discharging lately ? I thought discharge is ovulating what does this mean? I am 6 weeks pregnant and a little nervous. I have no symptons of being pregnant. Besides my missed period. I was feeling a little sick to my stomache a couple of weeks ago but I feel fine now. My boobs aren't really sore. I am maybe just a little bit more tired. Other than that I have no symptons. This will be my 4th child and will the other 3 pregnancy's I had morning sickness almost immediatley. Am I worrying for nothing? Or is it something to be concerened about? I have to wait until Jan.6th to get into the doctor or I would have just asked her.

She whines over *everything*, especially before & after naps (not actually crying, just fake crying! I dont mean whiney voice either, just straight up fake crying.) In fact she hasnt really cried in months, but yet whines every... single... day; Being super gentle with her makes it worse & ignoring it doesnt help at all, Yes she has been spoiled but we're trying to teach her that she has to listen now & doesnt get everything she wants all time anymore. i had unprotected sex a month ago (on the 18th of November 2006), just days before my period was due, but 2 days later, i saw my period for 3 days. I am 16 weeks pregnant and have pain from my belly button to my pubic bone. This has been coming and going since yesterday. It almost feels like a pulled muscle when I move certain ways. Is this what stretching to make room for the baby feels like? I also have a really bad headache today but not sure if its related. Has anyone else ever felt like this? I had my third child-my third daughter. We are positive we do not want anymore kids, but I elected not to have a tubal ligation even after I signed the papers. I opted for an IUD, the copper one-not the hormonal one. It can be left in for 10 years.

Having my tubes tied just seemed too final for me. I will be 40 we they take my IUD out, maybe I will have the nerve then.

I've been to the doctor...i'm supposed to be 12 weeks along...the u/s showed 6 weeks no heartbeat...my hcg levels went down from the last time i had labwork done...my preg symptoms had gone away...but now my boobs are extremely sore again!
