I heard that this works really well and has a higher percentage of not failing. The thing is, when you first start a new birth control contraceptive, there will be some problems. You might experience some spotting when its not time for your period, you might get more cramps, headaches, feeling like you want to vomit. Sometimes this happens to people who first start on the shots and sometimes they dont experience at all. It really depends on the person.

If you are taking the shot, it is birth control. The chances your pregnant is slim, as long as you continue to take that shot on time you should be good. The hormones in the shot will make your cycle messed up sometimes. It might be not be right for you. Talk about this when you go to your doctor appt next time. I take the pills, they work for me.

i am on the shot after having myfirst son because i missed pills on my other birth control. i think the shot is better because you only ahve to think of it every3 months instead of every day and you dont have to worry about "i missed a pill..o no.. i could be pregnant" althugh the shot itself isnt 10% garnteed...but then nothing in this life is. it is acutally more garunteed than the pill. What kind of complications are you ahving with your period? My first round of shot has me going crazy with my period. Ill bbleed 2 or 3 days then stop for a week and do it agan. or i might no tbled for 3 weeks and suddenly have a big one. Its all supposed to even out after your second or third shot. SYou may even stop having periods all together if you stick with the dates youre sposed to ahve your shot. but if your that worried about it, use a condom too. thatll cyut your chances of getting pregant bya bunch more.

do you mean the depo prevera shot, its every three months and more effective than the birth control pill, although the side effects list is a little longer. Most common side effects are minor wiegh gain and you may get a small amount of bleeding around the 3 month time when you are due to recieve your next shot

The only way you can be 100% sure you will not get pregnant is to not have sex. I did the shot and after I stopped it took me 7 months to have a baby. A friend of mine got pregnant while on the shot.

The shot, the pill, any thing that can prevent you from getting pregnant is NOT a full 100% accurate.

You can because no birth control is 100% effective, but it's really rare, especially with Depo Provera (the shot) because it is one of the most reliable bc methods.

no method is foolproof. I am a nurse and if you get the depo shot in your hip area and the nurse who gives it to you rubs the area it dcreases the effectiveness of the shot.

Yes, just like you can get pregnant if you're taking the pill every day.
It's rare, but it does happen.
I have been using the depo-provera injection for years now, and it is unquestionably the best option I have ever used. I don't get my period at all any more (don't miss it, thanks!), and don't have to worry about missing a pill!
