Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 December 2006

I'm 10 weeks along and I still don't "feel" pregnant. I know I am, I've seen the baby and have seen it moving on ultra-sound, but I can't feel it yet and am not showing. My stomach is still like it was before I got pregnant. I can't even feel my uterus yet. I feel tired, exhausted really, I'm cranky with mood swings, but other than that, nothing....when will I start to "feel" like I have another life inside of me. It's hard to imagine right now.

For months i have not seen Eggwhite, i always see creamy colour even during my ovulation. But the doctor confirmed i ovulate. is it impossible?

She holds from me or sofa...she crawls A LOT and FAST, she says many words and identifies objects with amazement, but she seems scared to start walking alone. Im scared...yes this is my first baby (and would be the only!)

My brother in law visited with his family.
He has an 11 month that they let cry it out at bed times
these sessions lasted 1 hour to 1.5 hours sometimes
I have a toddler which was scared from the crying and coudln't sleep
I have a newborn that was being woken up constantly
Now for my husband's sake I told them to do what they have to do, whatever to make their stay comfortable.
But when they left I was thinking that since they were only visiting for 3 nights couldn't they have just layed down with her to have her fall asleep quietly. The screaming and crying was driving everyone crazy and it made me so happy to see them leave after only being her 2 whole days. I just thought if it was me, I wouldn't do that to other people's kids, you want to teach your child to cry it out do it in the privacy of your own home.

My 11y/o Daughter has just told me that on there last day at school ( this Wednesday ) there doing "Pass the parcel " and "musical staues"..!!! ..What a load of bollocks...she is 11 not 5 for puck sake... No wonder the kids in the UK cant grow up..
Im well pissed of with this School ..all they do is make kids stay kids and not look to there own future...
Your thoughts please.....

I am 5.5 weeks pregnant today! :)


My husband and I wanted to tell our families about the pregnancy at Christmas, but I will only be 6.5 weeks pregnant then and I feel that's too early.

I am worried to tell them because I don’t know if the baby is okay since my OB/GYN won’t see me until I am 12 weeks (another 7 weeks!)

Should we wait until after we have our first ultrasound at our OB/GYN appt. before telling everyone?

This is my 1st pregnancy so I am worried after reading about miscarriages on the internet!

My baby had her 1st immunization shots Friday 12/15/06 (she also turned 2 months that same day) and she did very, very good. I mean, she didn't cry for that long when she got her shots. I've been giving her pain meds every 4 1/2 to 5 hours or as needed. If I notice her legs are bothering her. Anyways.....I know babies hit milestones all the time, but i've been noticing that she has been turning her head (almost like rooting) when i feed her. She does it especially when I feed her almost to the point that it is hard to feed her. I don't know if it has anything to do w/the shots, I never noticed it prior the shots that is why I am associating it w/the shots. I read that babies who do that rooting thing, they turn their heads to the side. Well, she did it before, but ever since Friday (her shots) she has been doing it non-stop. Then I was thinking maybe she has an ear ache or something and that is why she is turning in that direction, because of pain. Any thoughts on what it is?

She weighs 32 pounds. I would just ask my doctor but I won't start seeing her for about another 9 weeks. Thanks!

my last period was on december 5th lasted 4 days ended on the 9th of december..i had unprotected sex for the weekend december 10th to the 12th he came in me like 3 times for the weekend and had sex again on dember 16 th unprotected again like 2 times for that weekend and he came in me again.. and yes iam trying to get pregnant what do you guys think COULD THIS BE MY MONTH!! :)

i had unprotected sex with my bf on the 12 and 19th day of my cycle. my cycle is 29 days my last pd was 11/20...however that one was late it was really due 11/9....right now i have no symptoms of a pd i usualy get severe cramps for a wk up until the day of my period. however this isn't the case. i'm mostly tired, sleepy and slightly naseous and dizzy...is it possbile i'm prego if my pds have been irregular? when should i test?

I plan on pumping once I return to work. With my first pregnancy, I had a battery operated breastpump from Target that cost like $30 dollars, it was no good! I thought that it was just using a pump in general, but it would just take like 30 min. to get 3 ounces. I didn't realize then that they had expensive electric pumps. Are these worth it? I would be willing to invest around $100-2 for a good pump if it is, as I will be needing this when I return to work. Thanks!

I do not have an infection
I drink lots of water
It is especially bad my first pee of the day
I try squeezing as hard as I can and maybe after 3 minutes it comes out. Does the baby position change, does that mean the baby is very low, if so what sex is it suppose to be?

We are thinking of getting a 'Mountain Buggy' 3 wheeler for our newborn as we live in a rural area in Scotland and ( hope!) to use it for forest track walks and also understand they are good for children up to about 4 years old. However they are expensive (£500)....and I've heard quite cumbersome to manoeuvre.
Anyone any experience of any other 3 wheeler buggys which are good for off pavement as well as on? Have also looked at 'Phil and Teds' and 'Out and About' Nippers.

I am pregnant and am having a hard time deciding which LAST name to give my child. I don't want to have a different name then my own child and don't understand why everybody thinks the father name should be the last, when I am the one who will be around forever no matter what and I do all the work. But I seem to be getting a lot of gruff. Why does the man get to use his last name. Why is he more important.
