Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 December 2006

my daughter has recently been crying and not wanting me to leave when I drop her off. it is not bullying, she likes the teacher and does well in school, I also do recess duty and am a substitute teacher there. but lately she has been real clingy and crying as soon as we get in the gym. she was fine while i sat there and she waved goodbye as I walked her to her class all seemed fine. I don't know if this is a phase maybe she is feeling lonely she has friends but we all know how little girls change their friends and feel they can only play with one friend at a time, I know they will learn as they get older you can include more friends, I have asked her if this is the problem but I see her on the playground running around and playing fine.but lately she just keeps on doodling I love you mom I see you mom I miss you mom at first I thought oh how cute but now it is like an obsession can kids develope seperation anxiety out of knowhere? Have any other parents had to deal with this?

I was spotting last tues and wed. The midwife sent me to the hospital for a scan but as I was only 6 weeks and 6 days they couldn't say for certain. They saw a small sac and did a blood test to check for hcg levels on Friday afternoon. This was then checked this morning again. On Fri it was 3100 and today it was 4500. The doc said she expected it to double and so doesn't expect the pregnancy to continue. I have to go back on Wed morn for another blood test. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think I will miscarry? Anyone have a similar experience please help.

I'm 16 1/2 and my bf is 18 1/2. I'll be 17 when my babys born. Its my baby but can my mom be like oh you have to let your siblings see it,play with it, and touch it etc.... when i dont want them to do nothing to it but the parents of it.(me and my bf). Can she overruled me or i can overruled her since its my baby not hers.?

My 5 1/2 month old still gets swaddled for naps and at night. She is getting bigger and is moving around a lot more (rolling over). Soon enough she is going to outgrow the swaddleme. Does anyone have any suggestions (that have been successful) on how to get her to sleep without swaddling? The other problem is that even though she can roll over on her own, she doesn't like being on her belly so I don't think she will really like sleeping that way.

I have a home daycare and am also 7 months pregnant. When the children I watch started coming, I told their parents that I would work up until about 2 weeks before delivery. Now I 'm just too exhausted to continue that long. I want to find a way to say I will only work until the middle of January (I'm due March 1st). I also will take at least 2 months off after I deliver. I want to let the parents know today, but do you think they will be angry that I "mislead" them, even though that wasn't my intention. I have a 4 1/2 yr. old as well, and I'm just too tired and getting to big to be able to handle this much longer. The kids I watch are 6 mths. and 3

some one please help it will be a year in jan iwas on the depro shot for about 4 years and i got off it in jan i took pills for about 4 months because i was not ready yet but we have been trying for about 7 months how long does it take i have been tracking my cycles and i know when i am ovulating and nothing please tell me what i am doing wrong.

And he said Scarface, OMG.. yes this is the same 6 year old who's mother does not parent him and has no father...
He threw a fit at my house and i sent mom home with 2 video games for the ps2, a racing game and thier old jet ski game. she gets him home and says here is your surprise, 2 games!! He starts balling and says he wants a war game not these stupid games. Recently i post a question asking how to sway my little sister to putting her baby up for adoption. I recieved alot of negitive remarks about how I should keep my noes out of it. I dont think I made my self clear on what I was saying. My little sister stilll acts like an 8 yr old. She is not responsible enough to raise a child. Besides I belive that she will not be able to acomplish her goals in life if she keeps this child. As for my mother adopting the baby I dont think that would be in the best intrest for the child. As for the father he, if she will tell us who he is, has no idea about her situation. My sister being heavy, no one knew she was pregnant. She had to have emergency c section because she would have died during a regular birth. She wasnt even full term. Those of you who still belive that some one who has not even come close to maturity should be force into keeping a child just cause she had sex. we are not even sure it was consenual. Do u still think she should keepit

The time has come for me to go back to work after maternity leave. My little boy was born prematurely at 24 weeks gestation and spent the first five months in hospital the last seven months he has spent with me as his sole carer. I take him to a kiddie music class once a week and visit his grandparents often.

We are now torn as to what type of childcare we should go for, a creche which is near my work or a nanny who will look after him at his own home.

My little boy's only problem with being born prematurely is having a bad chest and as I don't drive, I don't relish dragging him onto a bus at 7am but my husband fears that he may be isolated with a nanny rather than a creche, he is also worried about the horror stories you read about.

I'd love some thoughts and opinions from everyone.

See, the thing is I took 3 tests and all were positive. My fiance and I are the happiest we could ever be. But what are the chances that they could be wrong? I would be so upset to find out that they were wrong. But if we took all of them, there really isn't a way they could all three be wrong? We just don't want to be upset if anything like that could possibly happen. Thanks for the answers.

Me and my hubby have been trying 3 months to get pregnant. We did it all around the days i was O. last month. And i took 2 dollar store tests. And both were neg.. I have a 'First response' but i've already wasted like $50 on those in the past months... If i don't get my period by next week i'll take the test. I don't really have any signs of my period coming.. Normally i have cramping, back pains, etc.. I've felt sick in the mornings and so sleepy during the days. Could their still be a chance of pregnancy, with 2 false tests, and 3 days late???

just asking. is it that they don't want their child's imagination to develope? or perhaps they want their depth perception to be off? or is it to use as a babysitter? i can understand mabe a tiny bit of tv is ok if there r no commercials and is interactive, as long as the parent interacts with the child. but i've seen parents plop newborns right infront of that thing. do they think they can even understand what is happening?do they think it's healthy? i've seen people use it as a babysiitter for toddlers... all day. why have kids if u don't want to enjoy them?

My problem consists of 2 items. The first one, is while feeding him at home in the high chair, he tends to want to stand up and turn his body sideways. The second one, is while at a restrauant, we brings toys to keep him busy and feed him crackers as an appetizer while waiting on our food, but by the time we begin to eat our entree, he wants out of the highchair.
He is a very good baby!!! Other than these 2 issues that started this weekend, we have no problems...yet.
