Tylenol for now. You're not supposed to give Motrin/ibuprofen to babies younger than 6 months.
I would take the baby to an urgent care clinic if the doctor can't see him until Friday. You're in for a miserable week if you wait that long. My son had a lot of ear infections and we always got antibiotics for him. However, there is recent thinking that antibiotics are not always the best course of treatment for ear infections since they can often go away on their own....so you need to decide what you would want to do about it.

You HAVE to get your child to the doctor if they have an earache. Not getting meds can bring about deafness and a lot of pain for your child. Try tylenol to help with the pain.

Can't see him till Friday? First of all get a new doc, if you tell them your child has an ear ache and they are not willing to get your child in right away you have to leave them. An ear ache could be as simple as an ear infection or in my childs case last week, fluid build up which will cause a rupture in the ear drum. VERY VERY PAINFUL, I would call his doc office, and tell them the situation if they don't get him in TODAY, demand that you speak with the doc. if not then you have to take him to a WALK-IN Clinic or Emergency room. You cannot leave an Ear Ache go for 5 days that is cruel.

tylenol or motrin...and i think there are some over the counter herbal remedies to help relieve pain, too. but if the baby has an ear infection you need to see a dr. earaches are EXTREMELY painful.

nothing other than a doctor, you can get drops at the local pharmamcy to help numb the pain, but if it is not treated with an antibiotic, the infection can spread and cause serious harm, and anguish for the baby. Just call your doctor, run him/her in and get the antibiotic.

Personally nothing. A doctor would be my only choice.
EDIT:
Honey, if your doctor won't see your baby until friday, it's time for you to get another doctor or visit A&E/ ER whatever it is for your country.
Your baby needs more prompt treatment than that and I am appaled that your doctor isn't willing to squeeze your baby in.
Try talking to them again, but if that doesn't help, go to an emergency doctor as soon as they are open.
Best wishes to you and your little one :)

You have to go to the Pediatrician because that is an ear infection and it will not go away unless you get the prescribed medicine from the Pediatrician. Why wouldn't you want to take your baby to the doctor?
