It sounds like to me it rear-end heating time. Don't put up with that crap. He's too young for such violent games. Try this. The next time he pitches a fit because he doesn't have the game he wants, take them all away, tear his little rear end up and send him to his room, with no activities at all. Just sit in the middle of the bed with no toys and not allowed to go to sleep. After a few sec ions of this you will get results.

My son is 11 and his favorite movies are Saving Private Ryan, Tora, Tora, Tora, Patton and Black hawk down. I have never kept him from watching movie, no matter what the rating is. These are all historical movies and there is nothing wrong with small children watching them. My son reads Civil War books, like adult books and knows more about Wars and conflicts than most adults will ever know. Sound like this 6 year old has never been told no. That is the problem, not the fact that he likes to play violent games. Something else is going on in his life. Possibly the absent father. He has no father in his life and he is acting out. Just be glad he is not your kid.

My younger sister loves amityville horror and the omen. And she is 9. She also watched the hills have eyes and urban legends.
She also watches nice movies too. But She always want to tag along with my friends and I when we go to the movies. We are 16. She also realizes the difference between fact and fiction. They don't scare her. She plays video games like the sims 2. She hates fighting games.

It sounds like this kid is not your your kids so there is nothing you can really do- If the mother has already given in to his demanding ways, then it will be up to the mother to change her own ways. She probably let the TV and video games raise her child because she was too busy- sad.

Apparently, this 6-year old boy has been exposed to violence at such an early age. Bringing him to a child psychologist can help him a great deal. =)

Not much. She should have disciplined him at a much younger age, but at 6, it is still not too late to start. It's up to her, though.
