Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 December 2006

Ok, so here's the deal...We are trying for a baby and I have a pretty regular cycle around 31 days. On Oct 3rd I had a normal period, 30 days later, on Nov 2nd I had some heavy spotting that only lasted 2 days. 2 weeks later I had heavy bleeding with large clots mixed in with lumps of clear mucous and horrible cramps. The Dr said that it was ovulation bleeding. As of yet I still haven't had any bleeding what-so-ever and am on day 48 of my cycle, 17 days late for me. I keep getting strong, sparatic and short-lived cramps, I'm peeing alot, when I sleep I wake constantly because I'm too hot, and my boobs are really tender, however I've taken 4 home pregnancy tests over the last couple of weeks, 3 were definitely negative, and 1 had a very faint second line (but I did check it after the fifteen minute accuracy window b/c my phone rang). I am going to the Dr's tomorrow, but would like to know if anyone else had the same experience so I know what to expect. Thanks everyone!

Can you have a blockage in your pelvis possibly by a tpax which may stop you from being able to have a baby? something stupid and a little funny. When you're on you dont realise that its up there so what if you forgot about it???sorry guys,I know its a harsh question for you!

I recently moved to Nebraska. I would prefer to spank, but I'd rather the state not take my kids away. I know in Minnesota it was illegal to even stick your kid in a corner. How do I know what's the law here in Nebraska?

Yeah i have my birth control pill and I take them every day but not always at the same time eveyday. I really didnt think that it mattered what time you took it as long as you took one every day. my boyfriend and I had unportected sex and I was wonder what are my chances of being pregnant

When after a couple of months of trying for a baby my girlfriend got pregnant , we both jumped with joy so happy. This will be her fourth and my third . Now she is 12 weeks pregnant and deeply regrets getting pregnant ..saying she dont want the baby.She seems such a different person to the one that jumped for joy when she realised she was pregnant. Though she does say she will go through with the pregnancy as she dont believe in abortion . She was never like this with her other pregnancys...
This is causing problems in our relationship as she is accusing me of not supporting her .. Im just being honest with her .. telling her that i dont understand what she is going through .. I have never heard of pre natal depression .. does it exist or does she really not want the baby ..

just wonder. please don't say that is is a treat because if u care about what goes into ur childs' body u should know that is no treat at all. and please don't say that it is inexspensive because water is cheaper than soda and is far more beneficial. giving children these things forms addictions to bad sugars and will be a hard habit for them to kick later in life when their teeth are decaying, they have diabetes or they care for their health.

I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I had terrible morning sickness (though I ONLY THREW UP ONCE!!) every single time I would get hungry, I'd get naseous. Then, when I hit 7 weeks, everything but feeling tired and moodiness went away. No more nasea or anything. Is this normal? I thought it last way longer than 7 weeks.

My son hasnt learned how to self feed yet. He crawls all over the house n picks up small things but he doesnt put them in his mouth. My mom n everyone else is amazed by it but im concerned that he SHOULD be putting things in his mouth in order for him to learn how to feed himself.

Are there some methods I could use to teach him or am i just getting worried for no reason?

As u can tell im a first-time mom! =)

Ok, my mother in law and I are having an agrument and I need help...
I went to the hospital at 730am on 8/17 to be induced. My water was broken at about 830am. I labored all day and into the night. Finally at aound midnight I was fully dialated and ready to push (16.5 hrs after my water was broken). I pushed until 3am, at which time the baby's shoulder got stuck and I ended up with a c-section. The baby is fine, I am fine, everything turned out ok.
My mother in law thinks that they should have done the c-section earlier - even before I began pushing - because it had been too long after my water was broken. Please help, as I really don't know about this one.

I have an 8 month old who eats solid foods now. What is the best way to clean the poop off the cloth diaper? I've been using the disposable liners but just wondered if there is a quick and easy way to clean the diapers if you aren't using a liner even when it's a mushy mess! My method was shake, rinse, and squeeze out the water but it was really messy so that's why I started to use liners. Anyone want to share their methods? Thanks.
