Personally i like Semi unique names like:
Charisma (my daughters name)
Kaprice (yes like the car)
Sohaila/Mihaila
Fatima

For a boy:
Antonio (my sons name)
Santino
Erik
Johncarlo (as 1 name a lil boy in my daughters school is named)

Personally I choose names that were either unique or had sentimental meaning to them. My daughters name Charisma came str8 out of a dictionary. My son was named after my father. I have a niece who has a combo name of her parents Bernaliz (dads name is Bernardo and mom is Lisette) My other niece has a combo name as well Carlimari (Fathers name is Carlos and mothers name is Mari). It should be something that you and the father agree with and also keep in mind if the kids will make fun of the name My sons 1st name is Rene which is a male name in europe and latin america but in the USA its a girls name. Also keep in mind the "popular names" means that what most people who are having babies in this year choose so that means your child will be 1 out of 10 in her class room. Best of luck and CONGRATS
