Ok, so here's the deal...We are trying for a baby and I have a pretty regular cycle around 31 days. On Oct 3rd I had a normal period, 30 days later, on Nov 2nd I had some heavy spotting that only lasted 2 days. 2 weeks later I had heavy bleeding with large clots mixed in with lumps of clear mucous and horrible cramps. The Dr said that it was ovulation bleeding. As of yet I still haven't had any bleeding what-so-ever and am on day 48 of my cycle, 17 days late for me. I keep getting strong, sparatic and short-lived cramps, I'm peeing alot, when I sleep I wake constantly because I'm too hot, and my boobs are really tender, however I've taken 4 home pregnancy tests over the last couple of weeks, 3 were definitely negative, and 1 had a very faint second line (but I did check it after the fifteen minute accuracy window b/c my phone rang). I am going to the Dr's tomorrow, but would like to know if anyone else had the same experience so I know what to expect. Thanks everyone!
Kaz

In response to a couple of the answers: When I went to the Dr's last month I thought that I was having a miscarriage and told the her such, but she said that since I never had a positive preg test that it was unlikely, and probably just the ovulation bleeding.

Update: I went to the Dr's today, she said to come back at the end of the week if my period hadn't started to take a pregnancy test. However, soon after I got back my period started. I'm not discouraged, it just means more fun trying again!

Thanks everyone for your answers, they did really help!

Heavy bleeding with clots sounds like a miscarriage and I'm surprised that your doctor passed it off as ovulation bleeding.
However, even if you did have a miscarriage, you could have got pregnant since then and be pregnant now.
The pregnancy test that you looked at too late is not reliable as it could well be an evaporation line.
Good luck tomorrow.

When I was pregnant my lines were really clear. I had to go to the hospital as I began bleeding and they did a test that was negative, eight months later I had bouncing baby girl. The best time to take a pregnancy test is when you are over a fortnight late, but even then it could not be accurate. I waited three weeks. I would have a test done at you doctors but personally I would say you're in for a lovely christmas present. You have all the syptoms I had. Only problem is if you've been reading up about it and really want a baby sometimes you can believe you have the syptoms when they are not really there. I would rely on what the doctor has to say. Fingers crossed and let us know!!!!

I had the same thing happen. If there is a line your pregnant!! With the cramping I would keep an eye on that. With both my pregnancies I had cramping the entire time. The first time I miscarried at 14 weeks, the second time I had a very healthy 8lb 12oz baby boy! Good Luck!! I hope everything goes well for you!!

My partners sister is 14 weeks pregnant and about a month ago she did four home pregnancy tests all of different brands to be sure and 3 of them came up negative and the other was undecisive so she left it and went to the docs for a propper test and found out she was 11 weeks so i would suggest going to your doctors and asking for a test there it will either be a urine test or a blood test.

To be blunt but hopefully not sound cruel, you sound a little over anxious. Tests can always be wrong but 9 times out of 10 they are accurate. It's easy to get tense with expectation when your trying for a baby. I hope it all works out well. Good luck tommorrow.

I think you had a miscarriage before. As to whether or not you are pregnant now......wow, def open to debate. Your doctor will do a bloodtest, perhaps you just don't have enough of the hormone that the urine tests detect. Good luck.

With my first, the second line was so faint you could barely see it. If there's a second line what so ever, than you probably are pregnant.

Good Luck.
