yes..at 19 weeks you should be able to see the sex, but I thought they didn't do the ultrasound until after 20 weeks? The sex organs develop at 13 weeks, but obviously are small and they can make mistakes in determining gender. Every week after obviously gets easier to tell. But keep in mind...telling you the gender is not something they have to do..most dr's do it because they are checking the baby's size and see the gender...but if they can't tell they will not do another ultrasound. So say your baby has their legs crossed over or something you are SOL.

19 weks they can tell . I have heard people at 14 weeks knowing what they are having it depends on the way the baby is laying. My dr wants me to wait intil I am 20 weeks which is in anther 4 weeks.
Good luck

I was 18 1/2 when I found out, and believe me, he was very obviously a boy.
Just make sure the ultrasound tech is trained, and doesnt tell you its a boy cause of the umbilical cord. In our picture of proof, you can see both his "stuff" AND the umbilical cord in the same shot.
Good luck and congrats!

Yep, they should be able to find out, if your little one cooperates and lets the technician see. We found out we were going to have a little girl at 20 weeks.

I was told 20 weeks is the magic number, but I suppose anything "near" that time frame is possible.

i was seeing a high risk ob and she told me at 13 weeks she was 99.9% sure it was a girl, jokingly sdaid if she was wrong she would give me her house, and she was right,by my 16th week it was definite she was a girl so by 19 weeks you will know if you want to
