My thoughts are: With your language, it's a good job she has the school to turn to for learning. Older kids actually enjoy a 'young kids' activity from time to time... It's obviously not at home that she'll get that, is it? You are so wrong about schools. I have met many obnoxious, arrogant, ignorant parents like you... Clean up your act.

Yesterday my son went with his class mates and watched Tom and Jerry cartoons in the hall (he's 6) and today they are making pizzas. They also had a group swim where they could all swim the way they wont and play. Children need to have fun. parse the parcel and musical staues are fun activities to do and they teach skills like sharing and team work. I think those activities are more productive than watching Tom and Jerry cartoons but its realy up to the teachers. what would you have them doing? What activities do you have in mind that would help with team building etc - if you have some ideas then why dont you share them with the teachers??

Also I am not in a hurry for my child to grow up the average life span is 75 so after 15 they have 60 years of being adult. I think that as a society there is a trend to keep young people children for as long as possible and this is for monetry reasons - recently I saw a form and it said child under 25 now this is not correct and could of been reworderd to say dependent, also insurance companies are always increasing the age people can get insurance 18, 21, 25,30 it goes on and parents are encouraged to look after their "child" until they are 25 at 25 I was well and truly independent. There does seem to ne a push for young people to be more and more dependent financially on their parents but I dont think musical statues and parse the parsel are the culpits!!!!

Well perhaps if you don't like the activites they have planned you could talk to the teacher and volunteer some ideas about what could be done instead. It does sound like a very young child gameplan, but they may just not have any ideas of how to waste that last day of schoo. It may have been through student suggestions that they picked those games.

your daughter is 11 not 18 i bet your one of these mothers that dress their kids older than they actually are. she is still a child not an adult yet keep her as a child for as long as possible i know the games seem babyish but address the school with that matter what would you want them to do on there last day teach them how to put a condom on....... i dont think so luv

I think it is a shame that we try to rush children through their childhood. We expect children to act and respond like little adults. When they grow up too fast we expect them to act their age.How does a child act anymore? Is your daughter concerned about the games or is it you? If I were you I'd be embarrassed to complain about the school and that you are involved in the school , especially since your vocabulary is VERY immature.

firstly I don't see what's wrong with children playing, and I'd say that far to many children in the UK grow up too quickly

secondly, have you ever tried making childen work on the last day before christmas? it's not as easy as it sounds, they're all too excited about the upcoming holiday and christmas

well after reading your pointers to other people who have commented i do have to say that i think you are wanting your child to grow up too fast, it is just a bit of fun for the kids...

also if your child thinks the UK is in the USA then why arnt you educating her properly, its not just up to schools to bring up children its mostly up to the parents... your the one who is making it so your child doesnt grow up not the school, EDUCATE your child to be an adult, but you may find that hard as your acting like a spoilt brat yourself....
