Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 December 2006

He eats 3 meals a day with usually 2-3 snacks in between them. I try to get him to sleep from 10am to around 11:30am and then again around 3:30 to 5 but lately he's been really fighting the second nap but if he doesn't get that second nap hes super cranky come supper time. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thx in advance.

I am 8 and a half weeks pregnant and I am constantly sick. I don't know why they call it morning sickness anyway cause it lasts throughout the day. I sleep all the time and my stomach hurts on and off all day. I throw up twice a day but nothing really comes out. How can I reduce this sickness? I am miserable!

My baby is very tactile and loves sitting on my lap during the day. I find it quite restrictive as I can't get any chores done, and my sisters tell me that I'll turn her into a clingy toddler. Is this true? On some days she is fine to play on her mat by herself for 20 minutes but on other days she just wants to be cuddled and held. Should I stop this habit now? She is 3 months old.

i was previously 29 weeks pregnant and found out that my baby was stillborn, as i didnt misscarry i was told by doctors i would be induced and hav 2 hav normal labour 2 days later which i did. its now been a month later and me and my partner are discussing trying 2 conceive again... what are the risks? will it b hard to conceieve so soon after? how long after giving birth is safe 2 get pregnant again? could it affect me?

it has been like this for almost 10yrs, have had 2 abortions, had done ivf in 2001 though i lost the baies. what is responsible for this irregularity and how can this be parmanently corrected. can I concieve with this problem and how?

He has gotten caught smoking weed. He has got caught stealing and is now on probation. He had to break in to the place where the gun was stored. He even tried to sell it to a family memeber 2 months ago. We just found out five days ago. We have to report the gun stolen but should we turn him in too. He will definitely violate his probation and go to juvenille hall. This is what we both feel would be the best thing. But it is not that easy to turn in your own son (my step-son). Then we think of all the things that go on in there its just like prison. He may go in there and come out worse. This is not something that you deal with everyday. He could have killed someone or caused harm to himself or our family. I also blame my husband for bringing that thing into our home. I did not even know that it was in the house. There has to be some serious discipline her but is turning him in the right thing?
He will have to do at least three months.

I'm 13 and over the summer (when i was 12) I went with my friend and his parents and we got really dirty one day from playing with a fire pit and my friends mom had us get naked at the camp site and she gave us each a bath in a stupid wash tub on a picknet bench. My BF and I joke around in a way that is R rated. We are both adults, we both joke with each other like this.. My BF's 12 yr old son has been disrespectful to me, saying things that my BF would say, etc.My BF explained, "Debra and I are adults we can say that, you are a child, you may not say stuff like that" The kid dosent understand that he does not have the same privledges as an adult(he is learning disabled and has other problems) I never joked like that in front of him, and suggested to my BF that he stop.He said "I wont shelter him, he just has to learn he cant do everything I do at his age". I said"you wil purposely say things that you know he will say to me, and then I will get upset with him? Why dont we just prevent that??" BF said"I dont want to shelter him!" I said"Ok dont shelter him, but dont do things with him at MY expense. I cant be the guniea pig" Bf said"You dont know how to handle kids!!" and walked away. The 12 yr old is allowed to watch R rated movies, games etc

I'm only 16 weeks pregnant and I noticed a clear, slightly milky coloured liquid leaking from my beasts the other day. It stopped but still happens if I put any pressure on the top of the breast (which I am avoiding doing). I know leaking later in pregnancy is normal but i wasnt expecting it yet. Is this normal? I have my next midwifes apt on Wednesday so I'll discuss it with her then.

I am the single mother of one little girl. and she is very precious to me. Though i love her to death she has become somewhat unmanagleble. There are times when she is very sweet and considerate. But its like the next minute she is a totally different child. If she is told no she will through very violent tantrums, to the point where she has to be restrained from hurting herself or someone else. She refuses to be seperated from me, she has to be with me constantly or it is a tanturm waiting to happen. She doesnt sleep that well at all, and refuses to sleep by herself. I have dealt with this for the past year and its becoming alot to handle. Everyone that has been around her has noticed the behavior also. I have honestly tried everything from yelling, to taking toys and movies away from her but this just aggrivates her tantrums. As a last resort i tried spanking but it didnt seem to phase her she just got even more out of hand. I have no idea of what to do.

About how many weeks were you when you started to get a little chubby? I'm 5'3 25 y/o and about 100 lbs. I am 10 weeks and I have noticed that my pants are a little tighter and belly is getting chubby. This is my 1st pregnancy. When did you guys notice?

we just moved to a colder climate a few months ago and my 5 yr old daughter has just started making grunting sounds constatnly (the noise is like che is clearing here throat). so naturally i check her throat to lookf at here tonsils and all that stuff and they all look normal. she makes this noise even when she is talking. she says her throat hurts but she always says she wants a throat drop after it. she loves them like candy (weird i know). I want to ask other parents before i bring her to the doctor. any help will work

Would like to visit my dentist, but -- no idea how to handle a dental appointment if my own toothbrush and floss leave me dry heaving. My gums are prone to bleeding, a bit sore, almost itchy.

Any ideas?

(And, yeah -- I am still brushing and flossing. Just with interruptions. My teeth and gums were in great shape until quite recently.)
