My husband and I have an ongoing debate about the child harness I bought for my 2 year old. It is a harness that goes around his chest with a leash at the back. I put it on him when we go out for walks or if we are walking around at the mall (we live in a big city where traffic and lunatics are always a concern). He hates it, and says it is like treating your child like a dog. I, however, love it and find it easier than holding his hand all the time. My son is fine with it, and does not fuss or cry when I put it on him. It seems to give him a sense of freedom from having to hold Mummy's hand all the time. I am curious to know what other parents think - a harness or no harness? Has anyone been in this same situation?

I eat a healthy diet, hardly any processed foods, lots of carbs protein and fruit and veg, but should I take a pregnancy multivitamin supplement anyway? Would it help and if so, in what way?

Women play a very big role by giving birth to children. However the period starting from becoming pregnant to giving birth of the child to taking care the child till (s)he grows a little is long. Moreover once a child is born, some time must be spent after her/him daily. How can a woman who is engaged in higher studies, say research, can do justice to both family and studies or professional life? Are there women who would not like to give birth to child fearing that would lead to spending too much time and energy from her professional activities?(second question is just out of curiosity.)

I babysit a child who has recently done some things that I consider unusual for his age. He drew a very graphic nude picture and this morning I found him lying on top of another child. I don't want to overreact, or to alienate his mother. What is normal for them to do at this age? He is only 5.

why would peeing a lot not have anything to do with early preg. I mean i stay thirsty and pee all the time. and some of you women say it's not possible until the baby is big enough to push on your bladder. If you are preg. you would want to drink more to keep from becoming dehydrated because the baby needs water too right?

I feel so stupid for not asking my midwife this yesterday, but I seriously want to know, and totally forgot while i was there.

Did your vagina feel like it was getting bigger the more pregnant you got? Or was it like a just before labor thing? Or was it just through the whole pregnancy?

THe baby is already dropped and engaged, so I know its pressure from that, and probably vericose veins too. Its not like he's falling out or anything, it just feels like theres a gaping hole down there thats always getting bigger.

What causes that? Just the weight of the baby? Certainly iam not dialating (iam only 35 weeks) or anything yet.... I wasnt at 33 weeks.

What do you think?

No answers from the sickos. Although iam sure there are pleanty of creepy answers people could think of. I mean it as an innocent question. pervs.

Been married 5 years and am thinking of having a baby in the next year or so. Both my husband and I are very happy and ready, but I have a feeling that I will be doing all the "baby work" on my own, which will piss me off and might cause me to resent my husband since it's likely that he will be working full time.

Any advice on how to prepare for something like this?

I have been slighlty bleeding dark pink for the last week but ultrasound showed babys heartbeat at 126 and no threat to the baby. I have also been having lots of nausea all day and some vomiting and still always hungry and very tired, are these good signs that my pregnancy is progressing very well and ill most likely carry my baby to term? im 7 weeks..

my Tim has joint custody and set court orders for visitation with his exwife for their 8yr old son.The problem is whenever she gets a new bf she wants to change the visitation schedule around to accommodate her.The court order is set up so Tim has his son every other day from after school till 7pm and every other weekend.Tim allways follow this unless there is an emergency. His ex routinely calls 15 mins before we are to bring him home to tell us she will be late and we have to bring him home later or will call us to come and get him earlier from her..Most of the time shes only late by 30 mins or so but there are times when she wants him to keep him like whole days which interfers with our plans. The worse part is Tim allows this to happen and will not say a thing to her or even asks me if its ok.He will not say anything to her as he is afriad to confront her and make "problems" for his son.I think hes just afraid of her period and allowing her to control us.
