Due to gestational size and baby movements you are going to have baby-generated inducements to move the stool since there is only so much room and the baby will have to wait for his/her debut, the stool loses in this tug or push of war. Also, as alluded to by other posts, although different muscles are involved in defication (colon) and delivery (uterus), they share a common nerve bundle. Braxton Hicks contractions (pseudo labor) commonly affect both colon and uterus. Most moms will tell you that when they bare down during labor, the sensation is like taking a dump as far as what you have to do. Some women in labor will also release stool for the same reason...hence the enema before delivery.

Sounds like u may be in early labor if u have any of the other signs. If you have other signs and dont have contractions yet wait for contractions and keep an eye on how far apart they are and when they hit 5 minutes call the doctor and hospital and tell them ur on ur way.

Actually it is a sign that you baby is moving on down into place. I was told when I was pregnant, that you know you are close to your due date when you can have a bm with little to no pushing at all, like it just comes out on its own when you sit down. As long as you are eating and not having bad bouts of morning sickness, it is "normal" for things that happen during pregnancy.
But..when in doubt, just call the doctor's office. They understand, trust me they do. I called for everything!! :)

As always, diffrent ppl have different manifestation for each pregnancy. This is normal for some ppl. Happened to me. It is also good to an extent because this way your body is cleaning itself so there is less toxic waste to affect the baby and your own skin and no froce needs to be used by you to expel this watse so there is no additional pressure on your tummy area.

You can get the runs before labor sets in, but its generally within minutes, and usually when you already have contractions and are in the early stages of labor.
Chances are you're just coming down with something, or fighting something, have eaten something that didnt sit well, or are just really gassy, which can cause loose bowels.
If you have fever call your OB, or if you have contractions, or if its full on diarea for more than three days.
DRINK FLUIDS.

You could be in early labor-there is a hormone released right before that can cause that symptom. The same thing happens for some women right before their period. You could also coincidentally have a gastrointestional virus. Anyone else in your house have the same? Good luck!
