No ideas what so ever... With medical technology today being so crappy, it is very hard to find out, I think you're out of luck.

I know some free clinics can do a blood test to tell you if you're pregnant, but the free clinics are very expensive.

A doctor usually wont be able to help you either, medical school doesn't provide any information about pregnancy...

There are a few possibilities:

1. The positive test was more sensitive than the negative test, so you really are pregnant. Check the boxes, and if necessary call the manufacturer to find out if this is the case.

2. One of the tests is defective. Since there are rarely cases of false positives, I'd say the negative is probably wrong.

3. You were pregnant, and now you're not. This can happen in cases of very early miscarriages or if you had a chemical pregnancy, which means that the sperm met the egg, but did not implant. This is likely the case if days elapsed between the two tests.

I'd take another test and let that be the tie breaker. You could always go to the doctor, if you'd prefer.

These home pregnancy test aren't 100% accurate, i don't want to scare you but i have known about a girl that she took 3 test and the result were negatives all the time, then she took a blood pregnancy test and the result was positive. My point is that it's better to take a blood pregnacy test, the are 100% accurate and secure after the 5th day of the relation, and you will know if you are pregnant or not. Good luck and take care! ;)

In order for a test to say positive somthing has to be present. More than likely you ARE pregnant. I took 3 tests and one of them said I was and the other two were negative or faint. And I am as of right now, 3 1/2 months along. Time to call and make a doc appoinment to find out for sure!! And by the way congrats!

I would give you GP surgery a call. I did a positive test and the next day a negative test, I was sent to hospital for bloods as I would have been only 4-5weeks pregnant, I had to have two lots of bloods done with a exact amount of hours in between and my hormone levels were high. Unfortunately, I was told I had a very early miscarriage.
Good luck xx

You are more likely to get a false negative due to HCG levels not being high enough, then to get a false positive. Were the tests the same brand? A friend of mine had bought 1 test, it came out positive, she bought a 2nd test of a different brand and it came up to be negative. The only way to know now for sure is to go to the Dr. and get blood drawn, although some use urine tests now. (mine did) and you have to ask for blood. I would err on the side of caution until you are able to find out, and assume you are pregnant. Good luck!!

You have already got the best advice you can get. Go to the doctor. No matter what take care of yourself. If for no other reason...to make sure nothing else is wrong. I can't agree with your pregnant if it came back positive. My family has had different experiences with that. Regardless GO TO THE DOCTOR! At least then you will know for sure. Where you go from there may be a new question.
Good luck & God bless!!

If a test comes up positive then you are more then likley pregnant because you have to have a certain level of hormones in you for a test to say positive.

You are pregnant --- a false negative is not uncommon, but false positives are almost unheard of.

Congrats (if that's what you wanted?) -- see a doc right away to get the best care.
