I'm only 16 weeks pregnant and I noticed a clear, slightly milky coloured liquid leaking from my beasts the other day. It stopped but still happens if I put any pressure on the top of the breast (which I am avoiding doing). I know leaking later in pregnancy is normal but i wasnt expecting it yet. Is this normal? I have my next midwifes apt on Wednesday so I'll discuss it with her then.

Many mothers begin to leak colostrum (sometimes called premilk) while they're pregnant, typically sometime in the third trimester. Other expectant moms don't. Either way, it's normal. You might want to wear nursing pads in your bra to protect your clothes if you're leaking. You can buy these at most drugstores.
For some women, this starts quite early and for others it doesn't start until just before labor. Some women never experience leaking breasts and this has absolutely no effect on later ability to nurse. If one breast leaks more than the other, that breast may produce a bit more milk, but generally both breasts will produce enough. (Assuming you haven't had surgery and the breasts are not radically different sizes.)

It's just a sign that your prolactin level is up (the hormone that triggers milk flow). This is perfectly normal. There is always some premilk stored in your breasts, (some women have more, or develops sooner than others) and the pressure just releases it. You may want to get some nursing pads for some added protection. You have nothing to worry about. Blessings

its completely normal and the fluid you are leaking is called colostrum. Get some breast feeding/leakage pads. Its all part and parcel of the deal.
