Hi there, I'm not sure about two unchristened parents but I was christened when I was little when my mother was and my father wasn't. I would think it would be fine to have two unchristened parents

What you not being christened have to do with your baby. First you have to ask yourself what is christen. Alot of time people take it out its meaning. When you are christened you are dedicating your life back to God. When you get your baby christened you are telling God, this is no longer my child, GOD i am giving him back to you. Because he gave him to you in the first place. That means this is your baby God. Which we all are his children.

They cannot be "god parents" but they can be christened at the same time as the child. Most vicars will explain all the ins and outs. I suggest going and talking to your local vicar. :)

Some churches are really anal and require you to be Christened and all of that but if you go to a non denominational church you should have no problem.

Baptism (aka Christening) is between the sacraments and required for any Christian to get into Heaven. in accordance the the Church, it incredibly is a skill of cleansing the toddler of unique sin, a normal combination of sin leftover from Adam and Eve and the sin of the toddler's very own concept. ought to an toddler die unbaptized, Christianity has long taught that the toddler will pass to hell. contained in the final public of Christian denominations, the toddler is baptized interior the 1st few months, then is going by using confirmation around 13. In different denominations, baptism is a ceremony reserved for people who can totally comprehend the end result it has on their lives. Technically, it incredibly is a ceremony that predates Christianity and Judaism and has pagan roots in historical naming and dedications ceremonies. curiously adequate, the early Church had to hit upon a thank you to get Mary into Heaven. in assessment to Jesus and the Apostles, she replaced into under no circumstances baptized. in accordance to their very own teachings, that meant she replaced into going to hell. yet this replaced into the Mary! ideal? She could no longer pass to hell. so as that they invented the assumption of the stainless concept, allowing that Mary replaced into conceived with out sin and would desire to for this reason have been given o Heaven. it incredibly is, of direction, a ways from computerized that any newborn must be christened. Assuming that one and all babies must be baptized is like assuming all men must be circumcised or that one and all women folk ought to conceal their heads. in case you do no longer attend church often, then promising to enhance your newborn contained in the Church is hypocritical.

it depends on the religeous rules.it is good practice to bring up a child in the christian faith especially in this corrupted world now.but, maybe both parents did not get the opportunity as children to be christened.
jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me.i think you should discuss the situation with the minister at the church of your choice and i hope your child will get the opportunity that you maybe never had
good luck

Yes, I'm sure if they regularly attend the church then they would be welcomed.
However, if neither of them ever attended that church or another church I expect the vicar would question their motives. As why would they promise to bring their child up in the christian faith if they do not attend church.
