Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 December 2006

My husband is scheduled to go out of town on Dec. 16th and wont be back until late Dec. 17th Because his brother is leaving to go back home to mexico and he wants to say bye and pick up some things in Virginia. But I also have ulterior motives I am so ready to have this baby I wish I was in Labor now. I would like to know what can I do or take (that will not harm the baby or me) to self induce the labor sooner. I only want suggestions that have worked preferably from women that have done them. PLEASE HELP would like to have baby tonight if possible.

I am a single working mom..My daughter will be four tomorrow...I love my daughter but sometimes she can be a bit much..all I hear day in and day out..mommy..mommy..mommy..mommy..sometimes it really gets to me...when she ask for something and I tell her no..she scream yells crys..sometimes I want to put my hands around her neck...I am a good person I love everyone and I am also very giving and I had alot of patience before I had her..now forget about it..I have little patience even to stand in a line at the supremarket I dont have patience for that..I feel like a terrible mom because she requires soooo much attention (I do give her attention) from me and there are times when I just want to have down time and I cant..in order to be alone I have to leave the house....also it is soo hard to get to go to bed (when ever I go to bed thats when she goes)...and she wakes up early (I give her credit for that she doesnt have a problem getting up..even for to get dress for school)..help me...

1st of all this is an update about my pregnancy questions 4 everyone that answered me and 4 everyones help** i had a "missed abortion" so therefore i was not able 2 have a viable pregnancy.. : ( well newayz i had my d&c 2day... everything was okay i just have cramps and im bleeding quite a bit.. but they told me no activity at all 4 4 weeks and no sexual intercourse 4 6 weeks. i was wondering if anyone else had one of these and were u able 2 do things b3fore 4 weeks. and am i going 2 be able 2 have intercourse before 6 weeks? i also was told not 2 go back to school or work for a week so i'm going to follow those instructions.

The dr. gave me a sample of loestrin lo. When am I suupose to take this and what's your experience with it? What happened during the first month? Also, not to be nosey, but how do you pay for it?

What insurance companies will pay for birth control? I'm on it because my periods are out of wack and I also want to prevent pregnancy before I become sexually active. I can't drive, don't have a job, and will be takin' off my medical I have now. It only pays for the doctor visits. So, my gyno had to give me a sample of loestrin lo. I use to medical through welfare (though I'm not proud). I'm 19 and still live at home. Please help! I only have 30 days to get a new insurance!

i had an abortion 4 months ago and went straight onto the pill. I had my periods but they were very light compared to before. I have taken the pill faithfully but feeling tired and naseaous and probably sound very paranoid as i am worried i may be pregnant again. I recently turned 18 and before theres comments on murder etc, i would also like to say that i do regret it despite the situation i was/am in (A Levels). Helpful answers only please.

My husband and I want to start buying things here and there so when the baby comes we don’t have to run to the store all the time. In your experience, what did you run out of the most? What would you suggest buying now? Diapers, wipes, etc? We know to buy the bigger items, such as the crib and carseat. Suggestions? Thank you!

I am currently 31 weeks pregant with my second child.My first child will be a year old on Sunday.But today I have hardly felt my baby move just maybe once or twice.But I have had braxton hicks a few times today which I have had my whole pregnancy.Do you think it is something really serious or do you think it is normal? I am under a lot of stress as I have a 6,4,3 year old boys and a 1 year old daughter and my husband is gone for 10 days at a time out of state.So could that have something to do with it?I plan on mentioning this to my husband who will be home tonight but I really hate to go to the docter and nothing be wrong cause then I feel silly and worried for no reason.

This is scary for me because I am divorced, and I don't want to push her towards him. She is infatuated with a boy that has nothing to offer. He is reportedly in a gang, comes from a bad home life, has a bad rep in the school system, and has failed 8th grade 3 times. Should be simple right? Not quite. I don't allow my children to date. I am strict and require honor roll grades from my kids. Their freedom is determined by their performance in school. Yet, at the same time, I can't be a tyrant. I will not judge a person because of their past. I know kids can't choose their environment, but I have a responsibility to protect and guide mine. This thug is not good for her, but she isn't seeing it. I am handling her with lots of love and patience, trying not to upset her and showing her why he is bad news.... but she hasn't changed her mind yet... HELP!!!!!

My g/f got of birth control in june and in july she got her period on time. In august she got 2 periods in like 2 weeks and then in september she was later 1 week....now she hasnt had her period since september....is that normal after u get of birth control and how often does it happen? I am a little worried because me and her were messing around but it ahs benn like 2 3 months and no signs of pregnancy and i KNO i made a mistake.

Okay so I'm only 21 weeks tomorrow, but I was curious. How early did everyone pack their bags for the hospital and get together a list of contacts? Obviously I'm not going to pack my bag tonight, but I was just curious. One of my friends went into labor and had her little boy at 25 weeks. So I guess it's better to be prepared then not be prepared at all because you never know when your little one will come.

Do you think we should consider the teasing factor so much when we name our kids, or do you think that if they get teased a little over their name it will just make them stronger? I'm not saying purposly name your son vagina or your daughter Butch. But some good names can't even be considered anymore because we are being too protective about those school- age years when kids might tease them.
