My husband and I want to start buying things here and there so when the baby comes we don’t have to run to the store all the time. In your experience, what did you run out of the most? What would you suggest buying now? Diapers, wipes, etc? We know to buy the bigger items, such as the crib and carseat. Suggestions? Thank you!

This checklist is great!
http://www.toysrus.com/registry/truParentsCheckList.jsp

You can then make a list and prioritize what you want to buy and when. Some suggestions:

***hats
*bundle me for the car seat (great especially if you live somewhere that gets really cold in winter!)
***bibs
***burp cloths
***extra blankets
***extra towels
***diapers
***wipes
*bottles
*diaper creme
*lotion
*baby Tyenol or Motrin
*gas relief drops
*humidifier
*baby shampoo/soap
*bouncy chair or swing
*nursing pillow (bopee)
***pacifiers (a lot of them, they vanish very quickly!)
***washcloths (great to have a LOT of them on hand for wiping faces, noses as well as bathtime)
***baby moniter
*first aid kit
*nail clippers

I was so thankful by the time my second and third came around that I had so many spare blankets, towels and outfits. It saved me the headache of laundry all the time, and with a new baby that was the last thing that I wanted to do! Also bibs were a lifesaver because if the baby drooled a lot or was spitting up sometimes the bib saved us from changing an outfit.

Another thing that was so helpful was we bought a basket and kept diapers, a changing pad, wipes, diaper creme, extra burp cloths, bibs and a few spare sets of clothes in it in our living room to save us from having to go upstairs each time we had to change the babies. This was a lifesaver!

I did extensive research through my friends and extended family to find out what diapers were truely the best for big wetters, and sensitive skin (just incase). Everyone told me huggies supreme's were by far the best. But theyre so expensive.

SO, i clip coupons, and hit sales every week and buy atleast one bulk box of huggies diapers.

And I also buy atleast one 600-800 ct box of ultra sensitive baby wipes every two weeks.

Ive literally got more new born and stage 1 daipers than I can ever use. A pretty solid amount of stage 2, and a good start on 3 and 4.

Iam planning on nursing, so i dont have any formula stored up, but Ive heard that as long as you buy well ahead the expriation dates on the cans and powders you can stock up on them (i mean obviously you dont want to start buying them now if you're just barely pregnant, but by 6 months or so its different). You can stick the powders in the freezer in their containers from what i hear, and they should stay fresher longer. But i havent done it.

If you buy the formula from walmart, and its you have to return it, you can do so without a recipt at any time, so long as its not past expiration.

I also stocked up on the next stages of everything, sippy cups, plates, spoons, things like that. So i dont have to make a trip for the week that the baby seems to be moving from on stage to the next.

But i'd say the diapers and formula are probably the biggest things.

Oh, and another thing that just up and sneaks up on you, is the car seat for after the first year. You're going along, junior's fitting fine in his car seat, and then the next day he's 24 pounds, and his feet are hanging over the edge. I think thats a good thing to consider.

Diaper shirts but do not get stuck on the newborn sizes as they outgrow this size very fast
Sleepers for bedtime..you should have at least 9 in case you dont get to do laundry
Baby Tylenol, Dimetapp and Saline drops....
A car seat cover so you dont have to take bundles of blankets wherever you want to go
A bottle warmer for your car--Trust me on this when you have a screaming baby and you are driving from gas station to gas station
Gripe Water for when your baby becomes gassy
A humidifier to help with your babies mucous problem for the first few months
Good luck!! These are the things I had to get last minute

I loved my Aqaurium baby swing!!! But things to but.. don't buy to many baby clothes in 0-3 months becausee they grow out of them so fast. For this time of year just pj's, undershirts, onsie shirts, jeans and some fleece oh socks too. Diapers just buy size one, you move on to size to around 2 months and then a few months later your in size three which they stay in for quite a while. Diapers was the thing I was constantly buying, if you go to the papmpers and huggies website you can sign up for coupons and free samples which really helps out.

defintly stack up on diapers and wipes. a lot.
also you want a lot of onsies, you will be changing the baby quite often in a single day. leets see what else... make sure you have a least two crib sheets at least, dont forget plenty of femi. pads for you. (a hint keep the bottle you get to clean your self in the hospital, it comes in handy) makes sure you have nose bulbs too. and plenty of bibs and burp clothes. that should cover most things for a while. good luck and rest while you can.
