I am having a baby this friday. I know the risks of rsv. Has anyone seen or have any ideas for some sort of poster to put up at our door stating that if their sick or if their kids are sick then please don't come in and hold my baby! I would like a cute creative way to say it nicely!!!

We brought our son home in the middle of Flu season too. We didn't post a sign but we did make everyone clean their hands and then use a foam hand sanitizer that the hospital sent us home with. A sign would be great, something like, "If you have had the flu, don't hold me, cause I'm brand new!" I don't know. LOL
Best of luck with your new family!"

This is not to answer your question, but to try and help. When my daughter was only 3 months old 2 of my boys ended up in the hospital with RSV. Unfortunately because I live in a small town, the hospital they had to stay in was 2 hours away, so I had to stay with them, with the baby. I was so worried she would get sick too, but the Dr. told me to just make sure I continued to breast feed her and she should be fine. Since RSV doesn't effect adults the way it does kids, when I caught it from them it was just a typical cold but it made my body build immunities that were passed though my milk, keeping the baby from getting sick. My point....if you're worried the best thing to do is breast feed, at least through the cold season.

I would make a sign with stickers relevant to your newborn announcing "all healthy visitors welcome, any others please return when you are fully healthy".
