My period didn't come thats how I knew and I was on the pill for years.

If your period is regular while you are on the pill and then it suddenly becomes irregular (either missed or you had an abnormally light / short period that could be implantation bleeding) then you could be pregnant.
Scary, but lots of people get pregnant while on the pill either due to misuse, incorrectly prescribed the wrong dosage, interference of other medications such as antibiotics and/or just plain old "didn't work"... it stinks! Wish something (other than abstinence) was 100% effective :(

You don't get a period.
If you're on the pill that only gives you 4 periods per year, well then, you've just discovered its biggest downfall. Many women choose not to take that pill because it's hard to tell if you're pregnant.

Well let me tell ya. My daughter was on the pill, used a condom, went to the doctor on Oct 30th, had a pregnancy test, was scheduled for surgery on Nov 16th, HAD her normal period on Nov 3rd, went for pre-op testing on Nov 12th, they called me to tell me her pregnancy test was positive. So you CAN be on the pill, pregnant AND have your normal period. Each of our bodies respond differently to everything. Nothing that happens to any of us is the same as the other. Just because she had a period, doesn't mean you will, etc. You can't really rely on what others say because it doesn't mean it will be the same with you. The only thing I can recommend is taking a pregnancy test, wait a week and take another one. That is the only sure way of knowing. Good luck!
