disciplining my kids. What creative punishment did you recieve or do you inflict on your kids.
"one of my co-workers on his daughter, the one where she kept leaving the milk out, and he made her carry around the spoiled gallon of milk all day. I wonder why more parents don't get creative like that with their discipline. Certainly there are punishments much more interesting than just grounding and spanking. Of all of the methods, the craziest punishment that I have ever heard of was from one of my friends that I worked on airplanes with, in Wichita. When he and his brothers were bad, his mom would toss handfuls of dry rice on the kitchen floor and make them kneel on it for varying lengths of time. He said it was uncomfortable as hell, but it never even left a mark. What a darn creative woman. My parents were much more of traditionalists; what about yours? What strange punishments have you endured or heard of?

Hello, I'm a writer and I need to know how long 'my' twins would be in hospital. They are to be born at 35wks gestation and I have them weighing 4lbs 8 and 4lbs 2 (are they realistic weights?) from my research they seem to be. Twin A the bigger one is gaining weight steadily but Twin B has had a couple of problems breathing. Would the healithier twin still be in SCBU or just in the nursery? Do all hospitals leave it until the baby is 5lbs to send them home or can they go before? Thanks!

I USUALLY HAVE A 20 DAY CYLCLE AND I AM 3 DAYS LATE AND I HAVE TAKEN 2 PREGNACY TEST AND THEY HAVE BOTH COME BACK NEGATIVE. MY PERIODS LAST AROUND 7 DAYS AND LAST MONTH THEY ONLY LASTED 3 DAYS AND I HAVEN'T HAD ONE SINCE. COULD I BE PREGNANT?

i was expecting my periods from y'day & i had brown /black discharge.i have been experiencing this since i started trying to conceive.my periods never start with normal blood flow.it starts with brown type of discharge then it continues for 2/3 days then my actual periods start.is it normal? is it a sign my body trying to conceive?i want baby but i am disappointed every time.suggest me something & also tell me what is it?

My son is 8 years old, in second grade, and he does not care about school. I cannot seem to get him to put forth the effort into things! I know he's smart, but he is very very lazy (not just in school, about things at home too). Ive fought with him, taken priveledges away, I reward him when he does a good job, but for some reason, he still does not care. He will make careless mistakes on tests and other things, not put any effort into his writing and penmanship. I feel like Im hitting a brick wall when trying to get him to do his best! He always wants help doing his homework when he doesnt need it (on good days he does it all by himself) but he doesnt want your help, he wants you to tell him the answer and he wont cooperate when you try to help him figure it out. How do I get him to care about his grades and put forth some effort? I know he can do it, I see it once in a great while, but not anywhere near often enough!

I am a 22years old women. My problem is every month periods are regular but not coming on the correct date.. may be 10 days late , may be 15 days...I have pimples on my face... i am slightly over weight but now i am taking diet and excercise to get slim.. whts the reason my periods do not have 28 days circulation? is this polycystic ovary? what happens if its there? wont i have kids in the future? do i have polycystic ovary if my periods are not coming on correct date?.. Is there any good treatment in india? is there any difficulty for pregnancy?

I am 3 dpo, this morning I woke up feeling a little queesy to my stomach. Food makes me want to gag, and I couldnt even enjoy my coffee. Also been feeling some "twinges" in my lower abdomen. Is it too soon to be feeling pregnancy symptoms..is my mind playing games on me?

My girlfriend got her period last month on oct 13. We had sex on oct 20 and oct 28. I wore a condom both times. She is on a 33 day cycle, so she was supposed to be due on nov 15th. She took a pregnancy test on nov 16th and nov 18 and they both came back negative. (we used E.P.T.) She has still not gotten her period. She ovulated normally, and was getting all the symptoms (P.M.S. side hurting, ect.) And she is starting to get cramps. Her period however is nowhere to be found. Any ideas?

let me start by saying i just turned 22 on thursday. i been happily married for 3years my husband turned 22 on the 5th, and this is my second time ever in life experincing the whole pregnancy thing. if im 5 weeks is my stomach supposed to be hard? i did take a test and it said neg. but last time a test said neg i had a miscarriage at 5months cause i didn't no. the first day of my last period was on 09-22-06 n i haven't seen it since! i went to the doctor and got a pap smer done n she said it was took soon to tell ! she said come back in three months!!! but she told me to take centrum vitiamins not prental i told her they make me feel sick. i dont wanna have another miscarrage!!!! :-{ i need some good advice and i failed my home test! as always i did go to the doctor! i don't have those hormones1 i never get a pos. test until like 4 or 5 months or pregnancy

I jus need some good advice please!

and yes where dieing for our first child!

If your not really close to your parents...and you wish you were..whats something they could do to get closer to you? My sis ters into dir en grey (sorry if its spelled wrong) but shes always complaining that my dad hates her. She's being really mean, degrades her sister, is jealous and even put her money in her sister drawer to make believe the ynunger had stolen it. The truth came out and she apologized and show regret. How to handle this w/ justice, showing thd younger we are fair, but also w/ love, without destroying the 13 yo? We must have some fault in this sad episode.

i had unprotect intercourse on 10/25. i was ovulating around the time. 2 days later i spotted saw it when i wipped. my pd was due 11/9. took a preg test when i was 4 days late it was neg.ive felt extremely dizzy, headaches everyday naseaus that comes and goes.i spotted again 2 days ago again only when i wipe. nothing yesterday, and again today. i feel very dull slight cramping....my periods always come with extremely painful pd the week b4.my breast, and lower back usually hurt with my pd, but thats not happening now. this hasn't been the case. has anyone experienced crampping this light and dull spotted once or twice and found out they were preg? did the slight dull cramping go away?

After her well visit she got a set of shots and she had a little fever but the fever didn't go away. A day or two after she started having 4 or 5 poopy diapers a day (very unusual for her). I took her to the doctor and she said that she likely developed a virus that will last 7 - 10 days. Well, the problem is ever since her shots, she has been waking up almost every hour at night. Previously she was sleeping through the night without a peep! So we go in and give her the pacifier and she goes back to sleep for another hour. We also still swaddle her. We just don't know what to do anymore though since we have never had a sleep problem with her. Has anyone else had any sleep problems like this when a child has a virus or is sick? I'm afraid she is developing a bad habit.
