Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 November 2006

No fever, just a sore throat (I think) & a runny nose. Its been 3 days since he has really ate more than 3-4 bites in a sitting. I have given him lots of pediasure & hot ovaltine.. but I would like to get him eating solids again. Please offer suggestions of what you like when you feel yucky:

Our 11 year old daughter has been put back in diapers for over a year now. What we cannot understand is the
fact that we had NO trouble at potty training her, she was the easiest one to train. It started a few months
before she turned 10, she started wetting her bed. Then she starts wetting her pants in the DAY time and it got
to constant. Her teacher calls me to the school and tells me about her problem, I started sending her to school
in pull ups so that she can have protection and will not be embarrassed and when she is at home she can wear
her underpants.
We now have her in diapers, that is the only choice that we have right now, I know that this has to be
embarrassing for her even though she says that it isn't but what choice do I have? She is seeing her doctor
about this and he has tried several medications which are not working, now they are testing her for ms. We
need help.

My 3 1/2 year old still puts everything she picks up straight in her mouth ---- I'm at my wits end. Does anyone have any ideas on ways to curb this behavior?

I do mean EVERYTHING she touches goes straight in her mouth, she's even chipped one of her teeth.

I asked her pediatrician about this during her last checkup at 3 and she said it was okay, but I don't notice any other kids her age doing this.

Any suggestions?? Does anyone else have a child this old that still does this?

I am a single mum with a 11 year old son who has started to develop some strange little habits. I don't know (or want) to make a big deal out of this only advice & suggestions would be very much appriciated!
James has suddenly lost all sense of modesty since entering secondary school, and will strip off to his pants when he gets home to lounge around. He has also taken to peeing outside on virtually everything! - He's driving me nuts! he will also make all sorts of noises (from his bottom) in mine & his sisters company & constantly lies on the sofa with both hands down his pants.
Can anyone explain why he is doing this please?

and she can't keep any food down, is constantly being sick, her blood pressure is 77 over 56 & she keeps feeling faint & dizzy.

What could be causing this? and what can or should she do?

I have advised her to telephone her midwife, but she seems scared to do this?

Please help! Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

I just found out that Im pregnant. I want this baby so bad, the problem is my fiance and I have used condoms everytime weve had sex. (I know this is his baby, I havent been with someone else in over 5 years, and I know sperm doesnt live THAT long lol). What type of audio devices can you recommend for allowing my baby to listen to music while in the womb? The headphones from a standard diskman obviously don't work that well on my tummy, and I have heard of a special type of headphones etc that would work for it. But I just can't think of what it would be called :)

i babysit a for a long time freind and her son logan, who is 5 years old, is a quick learner and verry inteligent for his age. one day while watching him a while back he ask's me if i could help him learn to spell words. i told him i would see what i could find online. he can do this, i know it for sure. and i thot it would be nice for me to learn how to spell better with him also,lol, scince i have so much ridicule of this on yahoo answears. hey, i dont care about my own spelling becuse its not exactly greek and it is understandable, but if it makes the world a hapyer place, great. thax.

I just read an article about "the choking game" and it shocked me. I graduated from high school in 1998, and I never remembered kids talking about this. I knew kids who did drugs to get high, but nobody ever mentioned this. I have a younger sister who is 15, and I am now worried about how prevalent this is. She's never shown an interest in drugs, but I've now heard that some kids do this as an alternative "high" to drugs and alcohol. Does anyone have any information?

At one time, there were guidelines on the can of powdered Enfamil on how to make a quart, I believe, using a standard measuring cup...when I called the 800 number, the lady just told me how many of those little scoops to use...

I believe the measurement was 1 cup + 1 scoop + 1 Quart of water...

Is this right? I cannot go on using that little friggin' scooper! I lose count all the time!

I had fertility medications and underwent an IVF 2 months ago, but it didn't work. Then i started having pain in my abdomen. I went to the clinic and found out that my ovaries were enlarged. The doctor gave me medication to bring them back to normal size. The pain went away for a while, but now it's back again along with pain in my back.

I dont have an appointment to see the doctor until next week, but the pain is really bad.

Could they still be enlarged or is it something else?
