I didn't know I was pregnant until I was thirteen weeks along, and I had done a LOT of drinking in that time (and blamed my morning sickness on hangovers *lol*). My daughter is four years old and perfectly fine. No damage at all. I suppose so long as you revert back to a healthy lifestyle as soon as you do realise, it must help the baby recover somewhat. Hope that helps. :)

I wouldn't worry about the drinking that you have already done. I didn't find out I was pregnant untill a little later then you did and I felt the same way. My doctor said that the alcohol wouldn't have any effect. The best thing for you and the baby is to start taking prenatal vitamins, eat healthy and enjoy your pregnancy. I don't think the drinking you did will have any affect, but just to be safe you might want to talk to your doctor.

No, I was 6 weeks pregnant when I found out. And I was drinking and smoking with my friends. Once I found out I quit everything immiately. Look at it like this. Im sure when a lot of people find out there pregnant, they are doing thing they shouldnt. You only had some drinks at one party. I wouldnt be worried. I did more then that (and yes I felt guilty), and gave birth to a healthy boy.

I was 3 months when i found out i was pregnant and i was drinking and smoking up a storm. I'm pretty slim and i didnt start showing till then, plus i didn't have the symptoms of being pregnant. Well I didn't have my period but mines all over the place....
I felt pretty bad that i did that but darling you did nothing wrong, plenty of young women such as yourself don't know until you go and find out.

Congrats!! I am pregnant for the first time too. Don't worry your baby will be fine, however it is a good thing that you are worrying about it, that speaks very well for yourself. If you are around 4 weeks, you should be fine, it wont hurt your baby at all. Don't do it again though, Good luck!

my friend was almost 2 months pregnant when she finally found out that she was.. and she had been drinking b/c she didn't know... she just had her baby about 5 months ago and he's perfectly fine... for your baby to have problems with alcohol you would have to drink a lot more through out your pregnancy, one night isn't going to hurt your unborn child... so i do believe you guys should be fine. good luck and congrats!

Same thing happened to me. Baby came out fine. Just NO more drinking. And letting your OBGYN know wont hurt either, but your baby should be ok!

"There is no evidence that a couple of drinks on a couple of occasions very early in pregnancy can harm a developing embryo... that being said it is definitely time to change that drink order now. "

congrats on the baby.
