Pediacare has a great line for that sort of thing. It wont hurt to medicate them, it will HELP, why have them miserable if they dont have to be The pharmicst can give yout he correct dosage for your child based off weight. This is what my doctor gave my son at age 2 months and again at about 7 months

You don't want to give them any other meds for those symptoms. They need to cough to get it out and the runny nose helps get rid of the bug they have. Use the nose bulb to help the runny nose- use soft tissues- the lotion kind if baby has no allergies- that'll help the runny nose. You can also get a humidifier to put in the baby's room as well. Other than that, doctors have told us not to use anything except for Tylenol if they have a fever- don't overdo the Tylenol too.

Nothing, you should be giving nothing to a baby under two years of age except under the advice of a doctor.

Put your baby in the bathroom while you take a hot shower, the steam will help. Use a humidifier. Use saline drops and an aspirator to help keep the nose clear (tummy time is good to) and vegetable oil or petroleum on the outside of the nose will loosen the dried mucous and help new stuff from sticking.

Lots of love. Lots of hugs & kisses. Lots of extra fluids. Lotion tissues. Really not nessecary to medicate unless baby needs an antibiotic.
