I am upset at an incident in our local supermarket, i took my disabled son in on a shopping trip, he has shouting outbursts (not swearing) and gets upset by strangers, anyway he had one on this particular day and pulled his coat zip up too high, a shelf stacker came running over and made a big scene, literally accused me of doing someting to him, which upset me and my other kids, i left the shop not saying much at all as not to upset the kids further but went back when they were in school and had a real go at this woman she got very upset, which i wasnt expecting and instead of feeling better about it i feel awful, like a bully. needless to say i havent dared go back in, was i right in what i did?

Why do we as moms feel the need to bash each other? I mean, someone says they don't want to breastfeed, for whatever reason, and OMG! I mean honestly, shouldn't we be supportive of each other? I know "breast is best", whatever. The the fact of the matter is, it's not for everyone, and someone who chooses not to is not putting their baby in harm's way. Someone asks what kind of formula, or bottle. then that's what they want to know, if you're going to say "breast", then do it if you feel the NEED to, but don't bash! So, why can't we just respect each others views. I mean if you answer a question to help someone, that's what you should try to do. If you're not trying to help, then DON'T ANSWER! Someone says they spank their kids (not beat, or abuse, just spank) and you get all these people bashing them. Why can't we just be supportive of each other. Realize that parenting is hard work, and that most parents (not all) are trying their hardest to do the best they can?

They are saying by 2031 they will be able to pick everything about tbabies before they are born.
From hair color, eye color, intelligence level, gender and what they are good at.
Would you want to do that?
What do you think of this?

I have been very cautious about my 7 mth old son coming in contact with too many germs. My hands are dry and cracking from washing stuff constantly. I was never this bad with cleaning before I had him. I don't let him play with toys from other people's houses. He went to the doctor's last month for his immunizations and our doctor gave him a toy that was in his office to play with while he examined him and I almost started hyperventilating. My husband said he could tell I was visibly uncomfortable. My pulse was racing. Am I losing my mind? His grandparents let him chew on old dirty toys and I get really panicky inside and always end up taking him to do something else like change him just to get the toy away. Everyone tells me he needs to build up his immune system so coming in contact with lots of germs is good for him, but I still can't stop doing the things I'm doing. I am worried that by cleaning everything so much that I am hurting him in some way. What are your thoughts on this?

We are trying to concieve. My cycle is usually 26-28 days. It is now day 30 and no period. I am always regular. My breasts have been sore all month long and I have been very tired. Also, I have been getting tiny little cramps that last less than a second for the past week. I dont know if that means I am going to start or if it is an early sign of pregnancy. When is the best time to take a home pregnancy test and rule out false negatives. I dont want to take one and it say I am not pregnant if I am in fact pregnant. Also, what is the best brand? Thank you!

My husband belives in using spanking when our boys misbehaive or are disrespectful in a more serious way. The boys are my husbands but i adopted them legaly when we got married. My 9 year old hit me today and my husband wanted to spank him but i stoped him. We disagree on this method. Although our son is a strong willed child i think we should insist with groundings and bannings, taking priviledges away. Do you think that considering my husband is the biological parent i should let him have the final decision and not interfer ? Or try to sustain my point of view and convince him?

What I would like to know is, and perhaps I need to hear from some professional sources, is; just because i'm still having my period does that mean that I will get pregnant? In other words, it is possible to still have a period but something be wrong with me that would prevent pregnancy?

took them before and they look exactly like the regular 2 birth control pill from a 21 days pack. If I can not see doc today, may I just take 2 pills from my past 21 days pack (still within valid date but didn't taken for 3 month) and use it as morning after pills. As doctors here can help to clarify?

Has anyone found themselves having a baby, alone, after years of single parenting? How do you feel about it? I was engaged for a couple of years but the relationship has ended and now Im pregnant in my mid thirties. I dont know how I will feel when the baby comes. Will I really feel an attatchment to the baby? My two teenagers have caused me alot of problems over the years. My oldest has some behaviour/attention issues. Frankly Im glad hes almost grown. Im scared of re-experiencing all that over again. Parenting hasnt been the 'rich and rewarding' wonderful motherhood experience that some people seem to get....mine has been a hard hard struggle. Had I known my ex fiance was going to 'ditch', I never would have agreed to have another baby (this baby was planned)...now he cheated...and bailed out.. and Im facing single parenthood all over again. Im scared. What can I do to prepare my mind and heart? Baby is coming in a month or so!
