Yes, by the 3rd trimester the baby has definite sleep/wake cycles, although they don't stay in a deep sleep for very long - maybe 20 minutes.

Yes a baby in the womb sleeps, kicks, yawns, sucks its thumb, etc, etc...So as soon as she or he wakes up, its going to be moving around and kicking like crazy.

Yes, they have cycles where they are asleep and awake. Just ask anyone who's been pregnant!! When they wake up, the kicking starts!!!
