took them before and they look exactly like the regular 2 birth control pill from a 21 days pack. If I can not see doc today, may I just take 2 pills from my past 21 days pack (still within valid date but didn't taken for 3 month) and use it as morning after pills. As doctors here can help to clarify?

when i first went to planned parenthood they told me to take 2 birth control pills...and if i remember correctly another 2 in 12 hours. but i wouldn't reccomend that since i can't professionaly say its safe. so go to a clinic. and if you're 18 you can go to any pharmacy and buy the morning after pill behind the counter. but if you continually resort to it then your not protecting yourself good enough and need to smarten up.

You need to research on how birth control works and how the morning after pill works. Birth control prevents pregnancy. The morning after pill prevents conception but it shouldn't be used as birth control.

NO. Birth control and Morning After pills, even if they look the same, are NOT the same thing. The Morning After pill is made to medically induce a "miscarriage". Birth control is made to simply change your hormones so that its extremely unlikely that you'll become pregnant. Basically, Birth Control pills make the lining of your uterus thinner so it would be unable to support a growing fetus. That's why they tell you, if you're trying to get pregnant, to wait a few months after you go off the pill so your uterus can build back up. Morning After is an immediate flushing of the uterus to prevent any implantation.

No they are two seperate different pills and they do not do the same things. The birth control pill prevents you from ovulating which means that you will not even drop an egg. On the flip side the morning after pill will soften your lining on your uterus so that if the egg is fertilized it will not be able to stick to the side of your uterus and grow into a baby. Well I hope this helps, good luck.

I had went to a bad doctor and he wrote me a prescription for birth control and told me to use 3 of a certain color or something. I was already pregnant and around a month along and didn't know it and it caused a horrible miscarriage. If they would have given me the right thing I wouldn't have miscarried. The morning after pill is just supposed to stop a pregnancy before it happens, and if you are farther along it doesn't cause the physical and mental damage my doctor did. My advice is that if a doctor EVER does this then do not listen!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely not! If you check the substances that make up the pills, you'll find out they are quite different. There are a lot of groups that may help you get a correct morning after pill without having to consult a physician. Search on yahoo or google, but don't take two regular control pills, I would advice against it.

The morning after pill is composed of the same hormones as the birth control pill but I am reasonably sure it is more than two, and how would you know which week to take?

Just go to Planned Parenthood and get the morning after pill. Or any walk-in clinic, or heck even the ER if you really have to. Better to be safe than sorry.

Different pills act differently. General pills change your hormones so you don't ovulate.

I would be more concerned about your sexual habits if I were you. The morning after pill should not be used as a regular form of prevention, if you don't want to have a baby, then you need to be responsible and PREVENT, not worry about it later.

to start off with the morning after pill are for use after you have had sex and the birth control pills are for everyday comsumption. SO no they are not he same. If you want to have sex us a rubber if he says I don't like it cause I don't feel nothing tell him, well you want to feel something go play with yourself. Even the best looking, muscle bound tall dark and handsome guy can give you STD.

I'm not a doctor, but I know contraception and the morning after pill do not have the same purpose, so I would have to NO.
