Even when I was pregnant he always had the hiccups. He gets them at least once or twice a day and he gets very frustrated after a while.

Hiccups also can mean that baby has a full tummy! The space is so limited that when they get full the top of the tummy pushes things around and can cause them : ) but try to nurse as suggested earlier, the nurse solution worked for us 9 times out of 10. As a new parent myself let me recommend the "Dr. Sears" site for great parenting info!

same thing with my baby. the pediatrician always told me not to mind it if the baby himself does not seem to be bothered by it. \

since i was exclusively breastfeeding the first couple of months, i was not allowed to give the bottle, the pedia said to just let it go and it will eventually go away. i guess it was a good thing cause now at nearly 1 yr, he was never bothered by hiccups while i see other kids who get really cranky and stressed out over hiccups.

My two month old son is the same way. Hiccoughs are good for them and it prevents babies from getting stomach ache. The best you can do is to give your baby some water after few mint and then pad him on his back.

My son's doc told me to give him a couple ounces of water or milk (room temperature) Seems to work with him so far.

Rubbing his back is also good.

please don't give your lo juice or water yet.. they aren't ready & its not necessary.
Hiccups are a reflex that helps the baby learn to breath in the womb. It contines after birth & baby does not mind them at all.

To help get rid of them nurse or give a bottle. Try mylicon too.
