Changes this week are most pronounced in the arms and legs. Fingers, although short and webbed, are clearly visible. The beginning of toes can be seen as well. At this point, the wrists and ankles are still fused with the hands and feet. The skeleton is mainly cartilage, but bone formation is beginning in the arms. Kees and elbows bend, and the baby can be seen to "wave" on ultrasound.

The baby is now 18mm long, about the size of a cashew nut.
