You should consider having someone else paint the room for you because the fumes could be harmful to the baby. If that isn't possible go to the hardware store and buy a "Dust, Fume, Mist Mask." These masks work very well at keeping fumes out. Remember, it is not a regular mask-you have to look for dust, fume, mist.

I think it is okay to paint the baby's room with a window open and maybe wear some gloves so that the paint doesn't seap into your skin. Chemicals get in your body this way too not just breathing it in. Take breaks so that you get plenty of fresh air. Have someone else like your husband or mother in-law help you with this project it can be a good idea for your emotional well being and the baby's. Painting the room can be good for the whole family it can even be a welcoming party for your new baby.

no u shouldn't paint the room because when u inhale the paint, u will only be hurting ur baby and may cause him/her to have birth defects EVEN if u are 33 weeks pregnant.....maybe get ur partner to paint the room, but if u really want to u should wait till after the baby is born and even then, make sure the baby is REALLY far away from the room, even in a diff house maybe....good luck with ur pregnancy...and i wish a happy day!!! :)

I painted while I was pregnant. I just did it a little bit at a time and kept the windows open. Warm rooms/weather helps to make sure it will dry fast.

Make sure the room is ventilated, take frequent breaks and get lots of fresh air and check on the paint you use, some types can be harmful to ANYONE.

You can get a low-fume paint and keep the windows open with a fan. Wear a respirator and you'll be a-ok.

Yes it is safe as long as the room is well vented and you should also get fresh air often. I did it when I was pregnant but I talked to the doctor first
