My first child I wasn't in labor long ,I had an epidural It wasn't that bad but, bad enough. My son was born at 37weeks he was healthy no problems,I was told that normally your second child birth be much easier is this true considering my age i'm 37 yrs old and that it's been twelve years since I had a baby can anyone share their experience or enlighten me on what to expect?

I'm already 3 weeks late for my period and 2 home pregnancy test said "negative" Haven't made dr's appt yet. I have ALL the symptoms from my 1st pregnancy. Never needed a blood test. I may need to go for one now. Just was curious, how long do I have to wait for results? Anyone know? Thanks :)

Is it true when u'r on birth control for a while,and then u go off and then you have trouble getting pregnant? I am thinking about going on birth control cuz i have really bad cramps, irregualr period, and i want my period shorter... My 5 year old daughter has to bring in something for show and tell tomorrow. She asked if it would be old to take in my old umbilical cord from when I was pregnant with her to show to all of her friends at school. I have been keeping it for the past 5 years in our freezer because my obgyn said that I should save it to reinsert in my uterus just incase I decided to become pregnant again. Should I allow her to take it to school to show to all of her friends and if so what should she carry it in because I think it might leak thru her bookbag??? Help please

Today my 8 y/o daughter was watching the Disney Channel at 2:30 p.m. The show was The Proud Family. It is a cartoon. She does not usually watch this program, but it was what was on at the time.

I saw and heard this personally. On the program, 3 girls were having a conflict with another girl at school. One of the girls said "She's a bi-atch" (pronounced bee-atch) which is the teen slang version of b/tch.

The Disney Channel said bi-atch to our precious children at 2:30 in the afternoon!

my daughter is having the hardest time potty training, my first was not bad, but my second will go on the potty at times, and then she just refuses and goes in her training pants. i have no idea what to do, and i know i'm getting frustrated but i don't want her to sense that. does anybody have any advice??? by the way she just turned four.

Is there any way to know (other than the obvious physical exam) if you are starting to efface or dilate? I am only 33 weeks, but I feel like mabye the baby has dropped. I don't look different, I just feel like it's easier to breathe BUT she's right on my bladder and pelvis, creating a ton of pressure there. I also feel little twinges now. As of last week she hadn't dropped but she was in position, head down and everything. I don't want to worry, but I'm wondering if anyone who has gone through this could feel any physical symptoms letting them know if they were close to that point.

I was watching "In the Womb", a show on the Discovery channel and they said that a woman's body tells her what not to eat during pregnancy because the smell will make her sick, and they were specific to say mushrooms. So why should a woman not eat mushrooms during pregnancy?

My sensor in my car doesnt work so my car accidentily overflowed with gas. I then had to go sit through 5 hours worth of class tonight reeking of gas.... will this hurt the baby? or is it possible to hurt the baby? I felt nausaus (sp?) after a while but didnt get sick.

I have been told that if there is 2 lines on a preg test no matter how long it takes then its a postive.. My doc said then hcg was picked up and the test is just not reacting as fast due to it being so soon??? is that true
