Hey don't feel scared, I was in a similar situation to yours just last year. It had been 10 years since I had my first child.

Don't worry, there is nothing scary about it. You will be quite safe in the hospital and with the advances in medicine you can even get a "walking" epidural now, so you can still partially feel your legs a little.

I know it's hard, I am pregnant again (this is my last) and I am 29 weeks and getting scared already myself. I guess it's just normal to worry because it is a very tough ordeal to go through, but it will work out in the end. :)

I suggest you go take a tour of the birthing rooms in the hospital you plan on having your child in, it will really ease your fears. They will explain what happens and once you see the rooms (they are nice and big, usually with a bathtub, a couch, a recliner.. looks like a motel room almost) you will feel a lot better.

Hey, its all going to be fine. I, too am 37 and I had my daughter5 years ago when my son was 12. I had to have an emergency c-section with him. I opted to have another c-section with my daughter as well. According to my doctors, its reccomended that you have one the 2nd time if you had one the first. But,. 12 years is a long time and there is plenty of time to heal IF you are healthy.
How has this pregnancy been? How is your stamina? Those are going to be determining factors. My two pregancies were nothing alike and neither were the c-sections. Age is a definate factor. I would think that the amount of energy and endurance necessary for labor will tax you now more than then. But its too late now. It is what it is. You'll do fine.

yeah it hurts... but it doens't last that long & the second one will probably go a lot faster than the 1st... i didn't need an epi the 2nd time... i made it to 7.5cm w/o knowing it! Then you get the great relief of pushing for a couple minutes... and then JOY... an amazing life. Then you start the journey of parenthood all over again!
Amazing.

The best thing is you forget the pain almost immediatly after the baby is born... like it was no big deal. We are programmed that way. :) GOOD LUCK!

You have a pair weeks to move earlier than you ought to fear approximately it, They have methods to show the youngster and physical activities that can support. If now not the more severe factor that might occur is havign to have a c segment. They can do tran vaginal ultrasound or use their hands to inform which facet of the youngster it's.

My son and daughter are 10 yrs apart. My labor was 5 hours. It was a piece of cake. I also worried when the time came near but everything was OK.

You'll do just fine. I hope you have retaken the Lamaze classes. Get the epidural and have a healthy baby.
