Wow, that's a lot of kids you have there :)
Get what your kid seems to be into. If he likes baseball, get him a baseball bat. If he likes videogames, the new Playstation 3 is an excellent choice, though expensive. Most 14 year olds will be into videogames and sports, so maybe you can get him something within those areas.
Good luck!

How about something different. How about a nice sterling silver chain. Most boys like them and they are less expensive than gold. It will also last a lifetime. When he looks at the necklace years later he woll remember who gave it to him. It will hold sentimental meaning. Boys like to look good too.

Ask him if there is anything in particular he wants. . I'm sure you'll get a big enough list. Choose what you wan to get him, then go around and compare prices and whatnot, have it gift wrapped and stick it under the tree. And Viola! Christmas shopping done! (for him at least)

most boys want something to play with but parents want to get them clothes. so get him a pair of pants with a hole in the pocket (ha ha, old joke)
seriously, when I was that age , all I ever wanted was a 16 year old girl. ( ha ha again)
real serious, if you can afford it, get him a car or a motorcycle or video cam, depending on if he is gay or not.
if you cannot, then get him a gift cert for movie passes

You can check toys r us.com or Amazon.com & click on his age group for suggestions. Or if he likes clothes get him some gift certificates & put it in a box with some of his favorite sweets or or with an article of clothing, then he can pick out some more. Good luck!

Balloons would be good. Just fill the house with balloons and see his reaction. This is a very risky present as he may say this sucks I am 14 not 4 or he may say thanks for the balloons, i really like them. Up to you.
