Right . An egg has to be present for the girl to get pregnant. Ovulation occurs around 14 days after the First day of the last period. That is if you have a normal 28 day cycle. Sperm can also live in the womans body for 3 to 5 days, so this means that you can have sex several days before you ovulate, but the sperm will still be there to meet the egg when it comes.

If you don't ovulate, there's no egg cell; if there's no egg cell, there's nothing to fertilize, and if there's no fertilization, there's no baby. A woman ovulates once a month, whether or not she has sex, so long as she is still having a monthly cycle. The egg doesn't last very long - usually no more than 48 hours; by that time, it has deteriorated as to no longer be viable, and is generally expelled during the next menstrual period. The point of ovulation is usually 14 days after the onset of a woman's menstrual period; however, this varies with the individual. Birth control pills work by preventing ovulation.

Yes, you have to ovulate to become pregnant. It takes an egg and a sperm to create a baby.
You've been told many things about ovulation timing because it's different for every woman. You will have to find your ovulation timing yourself. Your body is different from mine. Your body is different from every other woman on here.
You should read Toni's book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". You can chart to find your day or listen to your body's cues. I ovulate on day 12. Some on day 15 while others that first week after they menstrate.
Some women have a 28 day cycle. But, I have a 30 day cycle. I have friends that have a 25 day cycle. There is no standard in this area.

I think that the best time to get pregnant is 1 to 2 days before you ovulate. The sperm travels inside for at least 2 days so if you have sex a couple of days before you ovulate. I believe you ovulate 14 days after your cycle but do not quote me on this. I recommend that you go to mymonthlycycle.com and you can input your cycles in and it will give you your ovulation days. Let me know if you need help. LOL

You recommend Cyst? once you're feeling soreness throughout your cycle it may recommend that the folicile containing the egg is staying swollen after it ruptures to proceed producing progesterone. that's extremely problem-unfastened and whether you have been to have a actual cyst as adversarial to this folicle soreness then those too tend to verify themselves as pregnnancy progresses. talk on your physician for further suggestion If the soreness you're having is new as you're saying then you certainly could somewhat bypass to the medical doctors. Any differences on your physique particularly human beings who harm could continually be checked
