Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 November 2006

My 5 year old son (who is in kindergarden) recently found a new friend who is in 1st grade and also lives 1 block from our house. He came over to our house the other day to play with my son for 2 hours and it was a VERY LONG 2 hours. This kid talks to adults in a very demanding manner, is loud and rude, eats like a horse and stoled a small toy out of my son's room shortly before his dad came to pick him up. So now this kid has been calling our house EVERY single day asking to come over and I have been making excuses why he can't come over.
The sad part about it is my son really likes this kid. My son is mild mannered, polite, gentle and totally oposite of his friend. I don't want my son's new "Friend" to be his friend any more but don't know how to go about telling his mom. Any advice????

Im trying to get pregnant but i know it will be hard because i have really irregualr periods. I went to my doctor yesterday and i have an ultra sound next week to see whats wrong with me, i want kids badly but i dont have very much money. Does anyone know how much artificial insemination cost? Does it work? Does any one know a website where i can find a doctor in my area? I have my own donor sprem.. I went to the doctors and had a scan were they went across my stomach they couldnt see anything in my womb so they inserted something inside me and they foudn the baby...is this an ultrasound or just an internal scan??

I need ideas for a message to write on the cake for a baby shower I'm throwing tomorrow. The baby is a boy and the parents are Christians. The cake will have rubber ducks on it. I need ideas fast, I have to call the bakery within the next hour with a message to put on it so they will have it ready for me before the cake decorator leaves for the evening!!!

My daughter will only drink her milk in the bottle. Every time I give it to her in a sippy cup she takes a drink and throughs it. She will only drink juice in the cup. She has gone three days with out any milk since she refuses to drink it in the cup. I even put a lttle chocolate syrup in the milk, and she still refuses it. I did break down today and give her a bottle since all she has had in three days is watered down juice. My docter said he doen't push the issue of taking the bottle away until kids are 15 months, but I feel if I wait until she is older it will just be harder. Has any one had this problem??

i was16 amd pregnant before and she made me abort. now im 17 and pregnant again. yes i was on birth control but it made me sick. i stopped. i know my fault. im stupid for it. but i dont know if my mom will kick me out for even help me with the baby because she still has a grudge against my boyfriend from the first time i was pregnant. help.

I am 4 months pregnant and I have the urge to clean and make my house more homey. I don't have a lot of money to put into my house for like flowers and whatnot. I have already put my Christmas Tree up and put some cinnamon candles around to make it homey. I have quite a high sex drive anyway but my goodness it has gone through the roof at the moment I just cannot stop thinking about my gorgoeus muscle bound rugby player, I could quite happily stay in bed with my hubby all day this weekend, but he is playing rugby right now and I am home alone. Just thinking bout him running round getting sweaty and aggressive on the pitch is driving me mad!!!!! Sorry it's getting a bit sordid now but I AM SO FRUSTRATED!! and we only did it this morning before he left and he made sure he gave me what I needed but within an hour I am gagging for more!! he loves it but I am starting to feel like a bit of a maniac. sorry for my rudeness everyone, had to get it off my chest.

I have nothing to do with this. It's just something I have been talking to others about. Would like to know others feedback on this. If a person has sex before their period and they have just 1 normal period and nothing else. No extra bleeding, or etc. Then the person finds out that they are pregnant after they have their period that they are pregnant a couple of weeks later. Do any of you think that the sex before the period is what got them pregnant or the sex after? I've been in a debated talk with a friend over this situation. Just would like to know others answers. At what age should a child keep his room picked up? My sons are almost 2 (21 months) and the oldest turned 3 in july. I think they should pick up their own toys and keep their rooms picked up. I don't really care if the toy room is clean, but i want them to put the toys in iout of their bedroom (they are connected). I sometimes tell them too but then get mad bc they are playing or bc the younger one won't do anything. I realize he may be too small but he makes most of the messes. I feel bad making my oldest clean up messes that h didn't make, so i do it myslef. I try to get boh to help me, but they won't. Should I expect more? Should I mak them clean it? How can I get them to hellp?

Hello. I recently moved to Waldorf, MD and cannot find a single thing to do that does not cost my family an arm and a leg. We have a large family so even going out to the roller rink can cost alot. Ever since my son has turned 15 he has really starting to rebel. Lieing, repeatly getting F's on report cards, back talking. Took my vechicle without permission. Just really pushing his limit with me. I know this is what alot of teens go through. As a parent I am very concerned with the road he is heading down. Recently he has told me he wants to drop out of school and there is nothing I can do about it. I so badly want him to at least finish High School, at the very least. In Missouri is it legal for me to revoke his license at anytime if I feel fit.....unitl he turns 18?

My boobs hurt(not all of the time) havent stared me priod(3weeks late) having discharge but all the tests i have taken come out neg. I go back to the family planning clinic on mon to find out for sure but could these symtoms be because i havent had a period. And i ve had light headaches on and off alot. I also stoped taking my birthcontrol pill when i didnt have my period and still havent started. Arent you supose to bleedd when you stop taking your pill also?
