FIRST YOU SHOULD GO TO YOUR PARENTS TELL THEM EVERYTHING. THEN HAVE THEM TAKE CARE OF THE REST, YOU, GOING TO THE PRINCIPLE IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING. BUT YOUR PARENTS GOING WILL FORCE THE PRINCIPLE AND YOUR TEACHER TO MAKE SOME CHANGES. I WOULDN'T LET THIS GO! AND TALKING TO YOUR TEACHER IS NOT GOING TO HELP YOU B/C SOMETIMES AT YOUR AGE WE GET ALL EMOTIONAL AND REALLY DON'T EXPRESS OURSELVES THE CORRECT WAY. GO TO YOUR PARENTS! THEY WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO AND SAY. AND IT WILL AVOID YOU GETTING INTO ANY TROUBLE WITH THE TEACHER.

This is probably not the advice your looking for (or anyone else is giving) but ignore it. Most likely your friend is lying, but she might not be. If your teacher is talking about you, then there is obvioulsy some reason for this. It could be a behavioural problem or something else. Try to fix this.

From experience, talking to the teacher usually doesn't help (although it should), especially in middle school. They see students as children who should do what is said. If you try to contradict their authority they will usually get angry. This can lead to problems later in the school year.

Also, ask more of your classmates if this is true. If they confirm the story, maybe talk to your guidance counselor, they know the teachers better. He/she can help you in finding the right course of action.

This is a perfect opportunity for you to assert yourself in an adult manner. You will have many more experiences like this to face in the future. Don't run to your parents just yet, but know that they are there for you if you need them. First, ask a couple of trusted classmates about the incident in question. Ask someone who isn't bias- they don't hate you or the teacher. You are more apt to get the truth out of someone like that. Then, You need to go to your teacher in private and tell her exactly who said what and that you are concerned. Don't gossip to your classmates or friends about this anymore. Trust me, your teacher probably already knows that you have this suspicion. They are in school with the kids all day and they overhear the gossip too. If your teacher admits that something was said, then you need to set up a meeting with your principal and your parents. If nothing was said, then you need to say something to your friend.

Maybe you should ask a few other kids if they heard those remarks too to find out if that girl is telling the truth first. If more than 3 other kids say yes they head that, then I would report it, but don't go off the word of 1 person, she might be trying to hurt your feelings or cause bad feelings between you and the teacher.

No, you shouldn't go to the principal unless you have already spoken to your math teacher first. You should set aside some private time to talk to her and tell her what you've heard. Ask her if it is true, and if so, why would she say such things? I tend to think your 'friend' is trying to cause trouble - but best to have it all out in the open.

talk to your friend, find out more, then go to the teacher and ask them. dont go directly to the principal, that will just cause problems. get all the information you can and confront the teacher, your only in 7th grade, so your friend might be lying to you just so you dont like the teacher.

Talk to the teacher. Kids that age often lie about things like this to make others feel bad. I bet the teacher is not talking about you at all.

First, talk to your parents. Get some direction there, your parents will know what to do. Secondly, unless directed differently from your parents, you should talk to the teacher. If all else fails, talk to the principle. However, talking to the principle should be your last resort.
