you can't, that's the short answer. A miscarraige is natures way of dealing with a baby that is not going to form properly. however, if you are only six weeks , you have at least another six weeks to go before you can start to relax a little. Just take it easy, live your life as normal. Don't bend, stretch or lift anything. Stop smoking. Give up alcohol. No marathon running, no long days on your feet, just be gentle with yourself. there's no need to wrap up in cotton wool, but just remain aware of the precious person inside you, and you will be fine. I wish you well.

This is a tricky question to answer. Many women needlessly blame themselves for miscarriages when in reality they have not "done anything wrong". There are things you can do to maximise your chances of avoiding miscarriage but fate can intervene. Without sounding brutal you can activate the air bag and wear a seat belt but if some idiot comes crashing into you the it's not your fault! But better to activate that air bag and wear your belt if you get my drift.
The list of do not does is huge and you would be scared to leave the house if you paid it too much heed. Basically eat sensibly, avoid hazardous chemicals and don't over exert yourself but most importantly listen to your body and trust your intuition. If it doesn't feel right don't do it.
Good luck. Take care

Now that's a difficult question. Miscarriage is vast subject and depends upon your obstetric history that means your previous pregnancy history.
Normally 10-15 % pregnancies result in abortion, figures can vary. but normally there is no reason behind it and most women eventually end up having normal pregnancies.
The advise remains same for any other pregnant women, eat healthy, take folic acid supplements, take it easy, stop smoking and alcohol and lead healthy lifestyle.
If by any chance you get stomach cramps and bleeding down below you should go and see a doctor/Midwife. Hope this helps

Dont worry about a miscarriage unless your having signs of one or have had one in the past. If you are having signs of one , then go to the doctor or hospital and they may be able to help you out. Otherwise, dont worry about that. Go on with your normal life , but just relax a little more. Make your doctors appointment and that will make you feel better too because you will know what is going on with the baby.

You really can't provent a miscarriage... but there are things you can do to make your chances on not miscarrying better. Like see a doctor and take your prenatal. Stop all drug use (if any & includes smoking) and do not drink alchole and just don't over do it. Good luck!

Just take it easy and don't over-exert yourself. I had several miscarriages before I was finally able to carry my 7 1/2 month old daughter to term. The reason for my miscarriages was due to progesterone levels dropping while I was pregnant. These levels need to increase while your pregnant, not decrease. So for this pregnancy my doctor put me on Provera, a progesterone replacement. Worked great!! Maybe ask your doctor about checking your progesterone levels.

Short of the obvious, such as not engaging in extreme sports, you probably can't. The truth is that if it's going to happen, it's going to happen. It's heart-breaking when it does, but ultimately usually for the best, as in the vast majority of cases a miscarriage occurs because the baby is not growing correctly and wouldn't be capable of surviving.

Just take good general care of yourself, eating well, avoiding alcohol, cigarette smoke, drugs and caffiene, getting plenty of rest, and taking folic acid will give your baby the best chance of developing well.

You can't prevent a miscarriage. If your body decides it can't stand the pregnancy it will miscarriage. Now if you are hit or someone punches you in the stomach then that can also miscarriage. But as far as preventing it. Just keep your baby safe and healthy and your body will do the rest.

Just take it easy and don't exert yourself. You can't really do much to prevent a miscarriage - if it wants to happen it will. I had some bleeding with my second child, went to bed for a few days and it cleared up and I had a healthy baby. Best of luck to you. You could always take to your bed and take some spelling lessons !!
