Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 November 2006

I am a nanny for 2 kids and sometimes the parents stay home which can be very stressful for me cos they tend to change my routine. i have not spoken to them about it cos i do know how to approach the topic without causing hard feelings.. sometimes when i have to put the kids down for a nap they insist that i should let them stay up.. i personally think a nap is needed esp when the kids are cranky and won't stop crying. any help on the matter would be highly appreciated.

I went to the doctor today and she informed me that my beta had doubled since the other day, which is good. Going by the beta though, I am only 2 weeks pregnant.

I told my doctor that I have been experiencing major migraines ( which I have since my c-section 3 years ago). She gave me a prescription for Tylenol 3s. I know that if it were dangerous she wouldn't have given them to me, but I was just wondering if anyone else has taken them during pregnancy? Thanks!

Im 16wks pregnant and i just got the genetic test done and it came back pos for trisomy 18. has anyone had the same thing happen and the babies been fine or has lived a long time. Please let me know im very scared, anxious and mixed feelings right now and have an ultrasound scheduled for next wednesday.

My son has been living with his Dad for 2 yrs. We saw each other a little bit. But I don't know what to say now. He came to visit me and everytime I say something he rolls his eyes or argues or corrects me. He is somewhat sarcastic to me. Is this normal?
Are there any mothers out there with good conversation topics?
His Dad talks about football and they play Madden Football on the playstation. They can talk about guy things. What does a 45 yr. old mother/teacher talk to her son about.? I tried taking him out to eat and the beach one day and we just ended up snapping at each other about everything. Except in the restaurant we talked about the decor in the restaurant....it was sports related. He said he wanted to decorate his room that way....we talked about how good the pizza was....etc.....but other than that....he seemed bored or mad at me. What is the deal?

Going by the first due date I am due in a little more than a month by my second one I am due a little more than three months..and by the third one i am due in three months. But my body and its functions are going with my first due date. I was just wondering if it was possible for my doctor to have given me the wrong due date. a while ago i skes weather its safe or not to give a 9 month old a flu shot and someone (forgot the name) posted that she is in the med field and she knows of 3 babys last year who died after getting the flushot, they died within a week, were those poor babys strong healthy babys or sick in any way???

i am worried now because my baby got his first shot yesterday, the second he will have in a month. my pediatritian said its not dangerous, they would break it and break it and cool it. what do you guys know about this, thanks

important, my hubby had diarrhea today and feels week and sleeps now.

I'm planning to buy a Playstation 3 JUST SO I CAN PISS OFF:

#1 My two adopted cousins (adopted by my gay aunt).

#2 My 5 cousins (My Uncle's Sons). My uncle is so cheap the only thing he buys these kids is Nintendo Gamecubecrap and they are STARVING TO get to my house for Xbox, Xbox360 and Playstation 2
FOR SOME REAL VIOLENCE.

My uncle is so cheap, he wouldn't even buy ALL OF THEM a PS3 for christmas as a single Gift if they all got together and asked for it HAHAHAH.

LOL - they are still upset I have a $250 PSP

#3 I wanna piss off all the schoolkids I teach who either: don't have parents to buy a PS3;
don't have parents STUPID enough to buy a PS3; or don't have parents my age (25) who would go out and buy it for themselves so the kids could LIE and say they got it for Christmas.

I can't WAIT till christmas. Nothing more exciting than seeing dissapointed children.
After you work as a teacher for long enough you start to HATE THEM.
