You could either hang an ornament on the tree that says something about grandparents or wrap one up & give it to them for Christmas as a gift. OR you could get a picture frame that says "Grandchildren" or "Grandkids" around the edges of it & put a note in the middle saying something like "Picture to follow June 2007" or whenever the month you are due. CONGRATULATIONS and I'm sure they will be thrilled.

Wrap up a big huge box. Make it all pretty and fancy. And inside the box put a picture of ur sonogram. Even if ur not going to be that far along at christmas, u can't mistake a sonogram for anything but a baby.

I helped a friend tell her parents at xmas and this is what we did for her mom....
We got a beautiful card that had a lovely sentiment from a child to a grandparent, and left it blank, we then got another one to be from her older child, and had the lil girl sign it. When she presented the card to her mom, she looked surprized, and told her granddaughter that she forgot to sign her name. The lil girl smiled and said, "no I didn't, that card is from the new baby in mommas belly and doesn't know their name yet." if his is your irst, you could improvise, and give her the card signed with the name you picked, or just sign it your unborn grandchild.
For her dad, who was in the hospital at the time, we had a nurse come in and check his pulse, and when he asked what was going on, the lil girl said..."well, grampa, we want to make sure that you don't pass out, or hurt your heart again, cause momma says when you find out theres gonna be a baby you might." Not exactly what we had planned for that one, but it was funny! He is quite the joker and we had planned on giving him a gift card to a store with only $1 on it and telling him he could add money for the new baby after he was released...which he ended up doing anyway.....I wish you cauld have seen their faces. Best Wishes!

Get a present that tells them. Like a baby themed scrap book for them to put pictures in, or a few baby items-like a bottle, blanket, pacifier-and a note that says "for grandma's house". Or you could bring a cake to a family gathering that says "I'm pregnant!".

I found a shirt on-line that says 'ATTENTION, I HAVE A BUN IN MY OVEN.' I wore it one day when my mom asked me to go to lunch, and she flipped out. She thought it was the cutest thing. She caused the biggest scene with crying and jumping up and down, and yelling that it was about time. The waiters brought her a free margarita! The entire Chevy's dining room celebrated with us! Of course, this all depends on your parent's sense of humor...

Well first you should drop hints throughout dinner like how cute babies are and how you think they would make great grandparents. But when you get ready to tell them get serious them may have a lot of questions like "how do you plan to take care of it." where will you live "and "how will you balance work or school ."

It would be best if you beat them to the punch and had answers.

Why don't you get them a present that relates to being a grandparent and wrap it up, so that when they open it, it will be a huge surprise. I couldn't wait that long, but if you can old out that would be a great present for them.
