Hi, that would be me that made that post and yes they were healthy babies before the shot. As I have seen other people post vaccines can be just as life threatening to have as not to have. That is why you need to do your own research and make your own decision just like I did with not allowing my daughter to have the DPT shot until she was 16 months old. I lost my first baby at 5 months to SIDS only 2 weeks after receiving that round of vaccinations. After doing extensive research when I found out I was pregnant just two weeks after she died I found a lot of information that made me feel the shot was what killed my daughter. There are some babies that die of SIDS that had not even had their shots yet but my did. That is why you have to use your instincts and do what you feel is right. I found enough information, including 85% of all SIDS babies died within 2 weeks of receiving either their 2,4,or 6 month vaccines. That number was way to high for me so I did what I needed to to put my mind at ease. They say the DTP is the shot they have concluded to be evident in these babies dying so that is the one I sustained from having administered until she was 16 months, per my doctor's recommendation. You do what you feel is right.

I am about to have twins and I took my husband to a vaccination seminar this weekend to make sure that we were making an informed consent. Did you know that the mandated schedule in the US is now 63 vaccinations by the time they are 18? ridiculous when it was 40 two years ago and even fewer before that. Anyways, the flu vaccination was one that was recently added. It is the only vaccination still containing the preservative or poison Thermosil which contains very high levels of mercury and is linked to autism and other behavioural disorders. In the very least it assults the nervous system. By the way, thermosil has been banned from all other vaccinations but still exists because there are numerous "old" vaccinations on the shelves. Bottom line, the baby already had the shot. Don't panic..you can't go back in time but DON't do any more flu shots. If you start to see some kind of adverse affect you should seek an alternative health care provider that specializes in detox etc. Just make sure to inform yourself! Do lots of reading (Vaccinations are not Immunizations).

Look up VAERS (vaccine reaction), babies do die shortly after vaccinations, some think there's a link between that and SIDS.
also from http://www.mercola.com/2004/oct/30/flu_deaths.htm
Many people are rushing out to get a dose of the flu vaccine, as the supposed number of flu deaths a year is an estimated 36,000. However, new evidence shows a major flaw in these numbers.
One critic determined to expose the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and vaccine manufacturers for falsely instilling fear in people, has found the truth behind the “statistics.” According to the CDC’s most recent death statistics located on their Web site, influenza and pneumonia killed 62,034 people in 2001. That means, in light of the current statistic, that just over half of those deaths resulted from the flu. This however is far from true.
Upon further investigation of the Web site, the actual number of deaths caused by the flu came to 257, with pneumonia accounting for the remaining number of deaths.
The question in everyone’s mind is: What’s the real truth? Critics suggest the answer lies in the CDC’s misleading warnings of the dangers linked to the flu, as well as their “recipe” for increasing flu shot demands. The ingredients include:
Concern
Anxiety
Fear
Moreover, significant profits are generated through the manufacturing, distributing and administrating of the flu vaccine. Sales from 2003 reached $332.4 million dollars, which only accounted for the manufacturing aspect of the vaccine.
Even more shocking, is the information the CDC posted on their Web site based on their own studies. They believe the flu vaccine to only be 16-63 percent effective against the flu. With this data in mind, critics conclude the flu vaccine to be pretty much worthless. In response, the CDA claims that their study did not imply the vaccine to be completely ineffective.
Lastly, the majority of influenza vaccines distributed in the United States contain Thimerosal. This methyl mercury based preservative has been linked to autism, Alzheimer’s, and ADD. According to studies, the FDA is allowing vaccines with small amounts of Thimerosal to go undisclosed with labels claiming them to be “preservative-free. “
The CDC’s target group for the flu vaccine last year was people over 65, or people with chronic medical conditions. This year their focus will center on children ages two and under.

You know I am not in the medical field or anything....but I have never heard of this happening in all my life and I wasn't born yesterday! Seems to me that a small child who died from a flu shot probably had somewhat of a compromised immune system. If you need to know more in order to feel better...contact your pediatrician,,,he may have more access to info like that!
Also keep in mind that thousands and thousand of flu shots are given on a daily basis so the odds are generally in the favor of your baby!!!

yes yes and yes. lots of children die each year from vaccinations or have severe side effects. Of course your doctor will tell you they are completely safe- because how else would the drug companies make so much freaking money. Do a google search or go to the library or bookstore and start reading books and educating yourself on vaccinations so you can think for yourself and make the best decisions for your children and family because you know it's right- not because someone getting paid big bucks told you so.

I'm in the medical field and a father of a six month old. My wife (also in the medical field) has kept our child's vaccinations up to date as the chances of death are a lot lower than the chances of the flu and other diseases if he didn't get his shots. As long as your baby has been screened properly (not allergic to eggs) you will not have a problem. The screening for vaccinations is very rigid and the chance of death (or a link to SIDS) is highly unlikely.
Sleep peacefully.

yes, children do sometimes die from flu shots and other vaccines. There is a preservitive called thermosil that causes autisum in many children too. AND doctors get huge bonuses from drug companies to vaccinate 100% of their child patients.

Well, I think the stats are your child has more of a chance from dying from catching the flu than from dying from the flu shot. I have never heard of any kids dying from the flu shot, neither have I heard/know of any kids dying from the flu (though I know that some do)

If there was a problem with giving the shot to babies, doctors wouldn't do it. It's that simple!
Stop stressing, your baby is going to be fine!
