Going by the first due date I am due in a little more than a month by my second one I am due a little more than three months..and by the third one i am due in three months. But my body and its functions are going with my first due date. I was just wondering if it was possible for my doctor to have given me the wrong due date. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know!

Keep your dates in mind when you go for the next ultrasound and wait and see what dates they give you. I was exactly the same with this one. I thought I would be due around end of March, going off my last period but when I had 2 internal ultrasounds, followed by the 12 week dating scan, my date was pushed back to end of April. I've had 3 more scans since then and they all say end of April. My bump is now enormous, I look ready to pop and a whole bunch of family and friends reckon there's no way I'll last until April. So who knows. All you can do is go off the dates they give you.

No doctor can ever give you and exact due date it's an estimated guess from 10-14 days after your period they just counts 9 months backwards and give you the due date. Now as your in your 9th month that why they want to see you once every week so they can see any changes fluids leaking dialtion and any signs of pregnacy thats why soome ladies go into "over due" Well the answer is Yes, your doctor can give you a wrond due date and when your ready trust me the baby will tell you before the doctor!!!Good-Luck and congrates

If anything, I would trust what your doctor says more than anyone else. Remember though...your due date really is just an educated guess anyway, and isn't 100%! Mine ended up being right on, but I have tons of friends who's due dates were way off. The baby will come when he/she wants to come. Congrats!

Well my doctor has changed my date 3 times but all within a week or so. I am not sure about 3 month difference that is strange you should ask why they changed it and if they don't give you a good answer get a second opinion. I wish you the best of luck

Hi, a normal duration of pregnancy is anywhere from 37 - 42 weeks from the date of your last pregnancy. When doctors/midwives work out your due date they take the date of your last period and add 7 days and 9 months, or, add 7 days and take off 3 months.
e.g. Period started on the 7th of June, add 7 days = 14th, add 9 months = 14th March.
Or: add 7 days 14th June and take off 3 months = 14th March.
This gives you the estimated date of birth (EDB) at 40 weeks. A normal pregnancy can be anywhere from 37 - 42 weeks so this is just an estimate.
During your pregnancy you may have an ultrasound to establish dates and depending when this is done, it is accurate to within one or two weeks either side of your EDB.
So all of that only gives you an estimated date which is accurate within two weeks either side. During your pregnancy, your doctor/midwife will measure the height of your fundus (the top of your uterus) and this is another tool to estimate your gestation.
The fact that you are saying that your EDB is within 1 - 3 months doesn't sound right to me. I would be discussing this with my doctor and trying to establish some definite details if it was me. Best wishes with your birth!

Dr got my due date wrong too, its depends on how baby is growing, getting big fast they might move the date up and if baby isnt growing at the right speed, they may push the date back....or the Dr just made a simple mistake, ask again and get it in writing, I would!

YES, it is their best estimated guess. Did you have an ultrasound, they are pretty accurate at estimating the due date. A little anxious are we???? My due date was changed 4 times, and none of them were correct... LOL Only your body knows and only your body will tell you when it is time to go to the hospital. Have fun, relax and it will happen when it happens...

yes especially if you have an ultrasound and the baby looks more advanced than it would at a certain time frame. with my second child I had 3 due dates and I was overdue. It all balls down to the baby will come when it chooses to. old wives saying but its true!LOL

how did you come up with the different due dates? Also if one was gotten from ultrasound it can be VERY wrong.. they estimate the due date on height and weight... and it can be very wrong. my daughter was very tall and the drs flipped thinking she was going to be 10lbs.. because they figure weight based on height-- yeah she was just tall and a whole 7lbs at birth- 2 weeks after my due date.
